44 years ago today, January 16, 1982, Sylvia debuted at #70 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart with “Sweet Yesterday”. It went on to peak at #12 and spent a total of 15 weeks on the chart.

Sylvia’s been my absolute favorite vocalist for many decades. I’ve collected everything I possibly could throughout the years. That includes a rare 45 RPM from the KFC Songwriters Contest in 1986.
