I was able to practice some more stitches this afternoon. Here I practised the running stitch, back stitch, and the final three lines are all split stitch which I repeated because it was the most difficult.

My goal is to learn tatreez well enough to embroider a design made in collaboration with @Haneenalbrqouni to benefit her fundraiser. I'm starting with basics and will attend a workshop on Sunday!

We are making a #tatreez design that will incorporate motifs and patterns from Gaza selected by Haneen. I will embroider the design on to a t-shirt, then we will sell a silkscreen version of the t-shirt.
