I was thrifting yesterday and found some great wool for little money...yay...that is really rare in my rural area.

1.)5 balls à 50g of 50% Merino and 50% Polyester in a beautiful green. (Doesn't really show in the picture)

2.)2 balls à 100g 60% sheep wool (from Austria!) 40% polyester in a nice heathered brown.

3.)And 7 balls from the same brand in natural beige/white with brown speckles in it.

Corris effect scarves finished. I am quite excited by the irridescence of the green scarf. It may be my best yet. There are 2 pairs of complementary colors. (complementary colors can enhance irridescence) Plus the sheen on the green weft adds to the effect, I am sure. It's Little Dipper 8/2 tencel. The red is MB 16/2 burgundy bamboo and the blue is Uki 10/2 dark turq cotton. So they all feel quite different.

Just finished teaching my woodcarving class for the James River Woodcarvers at the localish Woodcraft store. Some folks finished the project, everyone made good progress. Even had a young lady who had never carved anything before but took to it like a duck to water.
