    Born in 1944 and living in the town of Kafr Qasem, #OccupiedPalestine, which experienced the #massacre of its inhabitants by Israeli border guards in 1956.

    He uses oil on canvas or works on paper, assembling images that tell the story of the massacre. He was imprisoned by #Israel for his drawings about the massacre.

    While in jail, he made drawings about #Vietnam, fearing further torture as a result of more work on the massacre.

    1975 Masters degree also from the College of Fine Arts of Helwan University

    1993 Doctorate in Archeology degree from Khartoum University.

    He moved to #Gaza and lived there for a long time. I do not know if he is still alive 😞

  14. Mahasen al-Khateeb has been killed by Israel in an air strike on #Jabalia. She was a digital illustrator who drew the #genocide happening around her. Her last drawing was of Shaban al-Dalu, also killed by Israel.
