After I released a Panda Touch Dock some time ago, which can be mounted directly on a #BambuLab #P1S / #P1P, now the desktop version in the same design follows.
Here you’ll find the live render:

For all users of #BambuLab printers who also use a #PandaTouch. This could be interesting.
I have developed a dock that is screwed to a #P1P or #P1S, “encloses” the original display and gives the Panda Touch a tilt mechanism like the one on the #X1C display.

A Review Of The Two Trees SK1
My journey into 3D printing started ten years ago with a Prusa clone I built from a kit, and has moved forward in fits and starts. Last year I decided to invest more into it, and now things have escalated yet again–for I have spent the past month testing the Two Trees SK1, a solid CoreXY machine tha(...)

This is an interesting idea, but even the #Ender3 has shown us that manufacturers will cut costs even for a few dollars. They would avoid using higher end screens, like the #P1P did, although the X1C vs P1P and #P1S screens are worlds apart.
Also using the same board would almost compromise the higher tier, providing less advantages for purchasing the "higher" tier printers. Although I do agree and build volume is a big thing in what determines the printer I would buy.
Bambu did the opposite by downgrading the screen, but keeping the volume and electronics the same for their cheaper printers.

I made a box for those things the #P1P spits out on every #3dprint.
Useless? Maybe. But it solves a #problem that I did not have before I had a #3dprinter.

AAAAAAAAAArgh. My #P1P complained that the print job was invalid. "Unable to verify Gcode."
I siwtched PCs, used different slicers, changed models, everything.
Turns out: Turning the #3dprinter off and on again fixed this.
I want my 2 hours back, please.

@jamie I bought my #P1P two weeks ago. Without asking wife first. #badass
I was ready for thunder and lightning. Turns out she LOVES #3dprinting and #thingiverse. "You should have gotten the printer sooner", she said.
If I only knew...
Now I am printing solutions for odds and ends done in blender. I was not aware I am getting a new #hobby, but there I go!

Anyone got a clue why these prints fail? printed on a #P1P with auto levelling, I got several very good results, but the recent prints all failed - with different models.
The infill looks okay, but the wall/ outer layer is weird.Printing FLA at 205°/60°, which yielded good results in the past.

Finished upgrading my #bambulabs #p1p to a #p1s today!
Upgrade process was a bit more involved than I expected, but was still about to do it in about 3 hours total. I do wish I read the instructions beforehand to realize I needed to print a part BEFORE I went and lugged the printer downstairs to work on it lol
Ran my first print with PETG and the results are fantastic. I'm shocked at how much better the noise levels are with the enclosure, it's about comparable to running it in quiet mode before the upgrade.
The print quality for PETG is much better, no warping on the edges like I usually get with PETG
I've got a roll of ABS on the way to finally try that out!

So I had my first major printer issue over the weekend and I've got to say I'm very please with the repair-ability of the #bambulabs #p1p throughout the whole process.
I'm not 100% sure what actually happened, but I got an error notification partway through a print, and when i went to investigate I found that the hotend had somehow snapped in two, and the raw, unmelted filament was sticking out of the slot it'd normally have gone into. I've heard that the hotends that ship by default with the P1P are a bit substandard, so no huge surprise there, but a still a disappointment.
So I hopped on Bambu's website, ordered a new hotend assembly, it arrived in just a few days. I also took the opportuntity to replace the toolhead cable with the heavy duty replacement and add a cable chain.
I'd say overall the whole process took ~30m from start to finish, and that was with my learning how to do it as I went. Already a few prints in on the new hotend!

Alright - so I've had my #bambulabs #ams on my #p1p for about a week now. Thought I'd give a bit more thoughts on it.
Still having issues with tangling and jams. Less issues than I had at first, but still more than 0.
Filament Wastage and added time is also a much bigger concern than i originally thought. I recently printed a Kirby pencil holder for my wife, and out of the 300g of material it took to print, a bit over 100g of that was pure wastage. Not too crazy, but it does make you think twice before adding color to things. It also ended up jamming like 8 times throughout the process
That being said, colored prints look AMAZING, like i seriously can't overstate how much nicer prints come out when you can add actual color patterns to them.
An added benefit that I don't see talked about much is how convenient it makes monochrome printing. I always keep a black and white PLA spool loaded up, and with that i rarely need to change filaments, which is awesome!

Alright - I've had my #bambulabs #p1p #3dprinter for a bit over a month now, and feel like I've racked up enough hours without that I can give a reasonably informed review of it's performance.
Keep in mind as you read, that this was my first entry to 3d printing, so there may be some aspects I assume are unique to the P1P that aren't, and some aspects that I assume are universal to all printers that in fact aren't. Let me know if you spot any such cases.
Alright - so starting off with the positive,
the P1P is an absolutely stellar starting point to the world of 3d printing. The price tag is maybe a tiny bit high compared to some of the budget options in the field, but in my research looking at various options, it's just about the best "bang for your buck" option on the market today.
Between opening the box and printing my first benchy took maybe an hour all said and done, and that included all the learning curves you'd expect in dealing with your very first printer

#3dprinting -
I recently acquired a #3dprinter and I've got to say, it's an utter revelation having one of these in the house.
Between all the sites like printables.com and thingiverse.com there's more stuff to print than I could manage in a lifetime. I've also been learning some basic #3dmodeling with OnShape so that I can create the few things I want that are too specific/niche to find on printables.com.
I can't believe I put off buying one of these for so long, I've had mine running practically 24/7 since i got it, I can't remember the last purchase I made that really made me thing "we're in the future now".
My wife loves it too, and now browses STL sites throughout the day and sends me stuff she wants printed

If I didn't print primarily with ABS, I would ratger buy the #Bambu #P1P, just for those beautiful side panels people are making. I just love to make my printer my own and customize it.
But otherwise, the #P1S is a great upgrade, and nothing comes close to the #AMS commercially or #opensource.
My only hope is for the #EnrageRabbit MMU to take off or that the #Prusa MMU3 is a success, but we still haven't heard anything about it.
