  1. Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro:

  5. Is there no way to attach and read a voltage sensor with Klipper? 🤔 This would be really useful…
If course I could attach them directly to the SBC, but I can't find any way to display that input as voltage in Fluidd either.

  10. I still wish I could get #OctoPrint to work with the #Q1Pro, but it doesn't seem like its going to happen any time soon which sucks because OctoPrint is way more accessible for the #Blind than #Fluidd.

  12. A Review Of The Two Trees SK1

My journey into 3D printing started ten years ago with a Prusa clone I built from a kit, and has moved forward in fits and starts. Last year I decided to invest more into it, and now things have escalated yet again–for I have spent the past month testing the Two Trees SK1, a solid CoreXY machine tha(...)

    I have a #Creality #K1.

They took a month or so to actually post the firmware and give us rpot access to the printer. Before that, you basically had to use #CrealityPrint and their config, where they, for example, got the input shaping wrong.

They then posted the firmware, and you could easily get #Mainsail and #Fluidd. Then it happened that nozzles were crasging into beds, and they removed the firmware.

I first K1 had a problem. I rooted it, but something was wrong. So I swapped it for a new one with the supplier. Now that firmware isn't available anymore. So I had mainsail and Klipper on my first K1, but not on my second one. They are taking their sweet time to release it now as well.

So, nothing new, actually. Like the printer. Haven't had a failed print, and the quality is amazing, but the software side sucks.

Blows my mind, that manufacturers refuse to run #KlipperScreen. All these #Klipper printers are running their own UIs.

This is just stupid. As I then can't control my entire printer as promised. I can change the config, choose between #Fluidd and #Mainsail, and have root access, but I am stuck with their bad design choices for the display.

Dear manufacturers, if you decide to re-invent the wheel. Please do so by keeping the same shape. That shit needs to be round.

  23. After months of not printing, my #3dprinter is back to work. Unfortunately it is using the original noisey main board that came with my #Ender5plus

Now I need to decide what I'm doing next. I definitely prefer #kilpper and #fluidd

I doubled the slicing resolution and halved the minimum maximum path length to prove a point. That printers can be overwhelmed at normal speeds of 60 mm/s with excessive G1 movements.

Default settings in #PrusaSlicer can do this to a #benchy with some cheaper 8-bit boards or over slower serial connections using something like #Octoprint

Not only does #Klipper have its own methods of being faster, but #Mainsail and #Fluidd have less oerhead than #Octoprint. So, just the serial communication can be more efficient due to this.

I am busy with my own personal investigation into #Octoprint to see how I can speed it up because I need it and don't have the time to rewrite my entiee enclosure to work without my plugins. So Mainsail isn't an option.

I actually installed #Klipper and #Octoklipper literally like 6 hours ago. I am still busy with mt config because I had some unrelated issues.

    @3dprinting #3dprinting

  29. The amazing #Octoprint plugin #OctoEverywhere now has full #Klipper support! This is really amazing for Klipper and the Octoprint community using it instead of #Fluidd and #Mainsail. Until now, Octoprint was manly the good choice for the plugin support, but this will allow for all the great remote #Marlin features with Klipper!
