Doing a fairly large print today. It's a fruit washer, as per the wife's request. It'll take nearly 21 hours to complete, as it'll be switching between PLA/PETG throughout the print for easier support removal later on.

Es ist noch so weit bis zur neuen #severance Staffel!
Da musste jetzt das #design des Gehäuses für die #Steuerung des Wassertanks drunter leiden.
Drin werkelt ein #esp32, der Temperatur und Füllstand misst und bei Frostgefahr die Heizung einschaltet.
Anbindung an #HomeAssistant läuft via #MQTT.
Hoffentlich bekomme ich das Ding noch vor dem #Frost an den Start.
Entworfen in @FreeCAD , gesliced mit #orcaslicer , Druck läuft auf dem #BambuLab #P1S.

Heute hatte ich endlich die Ruhe und Muße, den #BambuLab #P1S aus den Fängen der #Chinesen zu befreien und die direkte Verbindung zum #OrcaSlicer wieder herzustellen.
Als Überwachung unterwegs dient jetzt die @homeassistant Erweiterung.
Also kann ich dem Kasten jegliche Internetverbindung endgültig abdrehen.

Diese Woche hat mich mein#bambulab #P1S mal so richtig geärgert.
Ständig zerfledderte der Druck und aus dem #extruder kamen klackende Geräusche.
Nachdem ich eine Vollkalibrierung durchgeführt, den Vorschub ausgebaut und überprüft, die PTFE Schläuche zum AMS kontrolliert und von der neusten Firmware zurück auf die 1.07.00.00 gegangen bin, blieb nur noch eins: #cloggedNozzle = Düse verstopft.
Mach nur 15 Minuten funktionierte alles wieder wie gewohnt.
Jetzt hängt der 2. #proxmox auch am Brett.

It actually finished.. Without finishing the spool.. The nerve of that printer! Shame.. Shame!
No, I am happy that the print I am printing (#deskware) is so very well thought out that it could use that little filament to finish this massive thing.
So, I started a new print of the same part, and will refill the spool in a few minutes and then go to bed, if the next episode is a dud.

Hab gestern den Drucker (BambuLab P1S) gewartet, war aber nicht all zuviel zu tun. Trotz der 900 Druckstunden war das Gerät relativ sauber.
Das hab ich gemacht:
- Lüfter mit einer Luftpumpe durchgepustet. Hab zwar so eine Druckluftdose, aber da ist ein Treibmittel drin und ich war mir nicht sicher, ob das so gut ist
- Gehäuse innen mit dem Staubsauger (kleiner Bürstenaufsatz) ausgesaugt
- Oberflächen innen und außen feucht abgewischt und getrocknet
- Die Carbonstange, auf der der Druckkopf sitzt, mit einem Tuch und Isopropanol gereinigt, Druckkopf dabei mehrmals hin und her geschoben
- Die y-Stangen mit einem trockenen Tuch ohne Reinigungsmittel abgewischt. Auch hier den Druckkopf mehrfach hin und her geschoben, damit die Stange durch die Lager wieder einen Fettfilm bekommen
- Die z-Stangen gründlich mit einem Tuch und Isopropanol gereinigt und anschließend nachgefettet. Druckplatte mehrfach hoch und runter gefahren, damit sich das Fett gut verteilt und die Überschüsse weggewischt.
Um an die hintere z-Achse dranzukommen, hab ich die Rückplatte des Druckers abgeschraubt. Vorsicht, die Schrauben sehen gleich aus, sind es aber nicht! Hatte später Probleme sie wieder reinzubekommen, da unterschiedliche Gewinde und Längen.
Die Antriebsriemen hab ich nicht gemacht, Spannung scheint mir in Ordnung zu sein. Dazu hätte ich aber nur ein paar Schrauben lösen und wieder festdrehen müssen, da sich die Riemen dadurch selber spannen.

Ohoh...
hatte ein Bauteil drucken wollen, aber als der Drucker fertig war, fand ich nur ein halbes auf der Druckplatte. Er hat irgendwann aufgehört das Filament zu verarbeiten und hat die halbe Zeit nur "Luft" gedruckt.Hat sich herausgestellt, dass sich die Druckdüse (Nozzle) verstopft hatte. Hatte dann zuerst versucht sie wieder frei zu bekommen: Erst Düse aufheizen und mit einer dünnen Nadel von unten reinpicken. Da kam auch etwas flüssiges Filamant raus. Dann im kalten Zustand Drückdüse ausbauen und von hinten das Filament rausziehen.
Hat danach auch wieder gedruckt, aber nach ein, zwei Minuten war die Düse schon wieder verstopft.
Hab dann eine neue Düse montiert, damit funktioniert wieder alles einwandfrei.
Mir ist noch aufgefallen, dass ich schon über 900 (!) Betriebsstunden habe. Muss also dringend mal eine großere Inspektion machen 🙂

Jetzt bni ich auch in die Falle getappt und habe die Firmware 01.08.00.00 auf dem #P1S installiert.
Danach kann man zwar alles mit dem OrcaSlicer vorbereiten, aber nicht mehr zum Drucker übertragen.
Und das, weil BambuLab eine zusätzliche "Authentifizierung" eingebaut hat.
Das Team um den #Freeware Slicer hat schon klargestellt, dass sie keine ClosedSource Komponenten des Herstellers in ihre Software einbauen werden.
Also morgen Downgrade.

Кстати, если кто-то облизывался на принтеры Bambu Lab и срач с прошивкой не перебил желание продолжать облизываться, то возможно сейчас тот самый момент.
У них выходит новый принтер и их P1S работающий по системе CoreXY можно купить сильно дешевле - вплоть до 66к рублей в России за базовый набор и до 99к за комбо с AMS.
Сами принтеры правда хорошие - я бы только предложил если решите покупать перевести их в LAN режим и не накатывать обновления не прочитав чейнджлоги.
P.S. Только имейте в виду, что P1S будет громче, чем A1 если вы не будете его моддить.

Is there anyone here who has both a #BambuLab #X1C AND a #P1S?
I have noticed that the housings differ slightly in width and depth, where they should be the same size. Specifically, it concerns the recess at the top where the glass plate is inserted. The internal dimensions of my P1S are about 1.5 mm larger than those of the X1C.
Can anyone confirm this?

After we got our #Bambu #P1S printer I have printed out more things than I did before we got it. Before this I had a #Ender3v2 and before that a #Monoprice printer that only printed PLA. But dear wholy, nothing has gone wrong, only prints that have failed were because of the design (pegs not joined with the body in one #Skadis thing I made).
So this is the feeling other 3D printing people have been feeling all the time? I love it!

For all users of #BambuLab printers who also use a #PandaTouch. This could be interesting.
I have developed a dock that is screwed to a #P1P or #P1S, “encloses” the original display and gives the Panda Touch a tilt mechanism like the one on the #X1C display.

For three months now, I've had a #P1S in addition to my #BambuLab #X1C. I've had the Panda Touch Display from #BigTreeTech since January of this year. It's a great device. But now it's time to find its place on the P1S.
For this purpose, I have designed a dock that can be tilted with a hinge, similar to the one on the X1C. I have missed this feature in all the docks and mounts that have been available so far.

Trying out #OrcaSlicer instead of #BambuStudio, was puzzled why it couldn't find my #P1S.
Turned out that I was still running BambuStudio, and given that the P1S runs on an #ESP32, which is limited in terms of concurrent network connections, it was just not accepting any new connections.
Quitting BambuStudio and restarting OrcaSlicer fixed the issue 👍🏻

I was looking to replace my cheap #Anycubic #Kobra 2 with a #BambuLab #P1S with AMS, until I read the many horror stories about using #PETG on the P1S (or any Bambu Lab printer, really).
PETG is what I use exclusively (strength vs budget friendliness vs easy-of-use), and the Kobra has no issues with it. I use #3DJake PETG and I can't be bothered to dry it, ever. Always prints fine at 225°C/80°C.
Any P1S users out there that get consistently good results with PETG without too much hassle? Or is there perhaps an alternative that's as easy to use as PETG? I'm mostly looking for impact strength.
Bambu Lab has even discontinued their own PETG "Basic” 🤨
