For the vintage and open source 3D printing enthusiasts, I've published the beta 1 of the BearExxaV2 Prusa firmware.
For now it's only for the MK3S(+).
All modifications are detailed in the README, along with the reason for each one and the differences in the code.
Help Wanted :
I don't have access to a MK2.5S for now, so anyone interested in testing the firmware would be awesome 🥰Enjoy :)

So sick of Babmu Lab crap, I was considering getting it as my next core XY multicolor 3D printer, but after crapping on open source community for the second time, I'm done ... I'm now considering Snapmaker U1 and Prusa Core +/L with INDX ...

Bondtech, E3D, Prusa and the Orbiter Project have now all patented high flow nozzles. This is honestly sad, we are blocked for 15+ years with those now. The good news is that they are (all) a pain to cold pull 🫢

Der Schulträger so: Was erlaube? Ist doch viel zu teuer! Wir kaufen nur Bambu Lab!

Mr. Postman brought me some nice things from Prague. I finally got the satin sheet so I don't have to keep jumping between the PEI and textured sheet depending on what I'm printing. Curious to see how they'll perform.
Here's the MK4S and Mini+ variants.

Second PETG print on the Core One (enclosed) that has warped worse than the MK4S. Starting to think the textured sheet is just not very good, at least compared to the satin sheet.
Also, having a single spool of the filament I want to use is really getting in the way of things.

An blunt advice for #3DPrinting:
If you want to diy, look into #Voron designs, RatRig, ProForge 300 and others.
HOWEVER if you just want a printer that works, from a company that won't fuck you over, buy a #Prusa. Period. Their attempts at OSI-non-compliant licenses are a piss in the ocean compared to what #BambuLab, #Creality, #FlashForge, #Elegoo, #Anycubic and even #Sovol have been done or are still doing (to be fair, with Sovol it's mostly trashy customer support).

So you're telling me the Flashforge Creator 5 is a complete toolhead-swapping printer that costs less than the 4-head INDX upgrade and probably delivers sooner?
Meh. I made my choice already I guess.

@DG1JAN When I was choosing the 3D printer for myself, I was afraid Bambu Labs would pull off something like this (probably in a smaller scale though) and went with #Prusa instead, as Prusa seemed more open and active with the hobbyists, even if Bambu was technically slightly better from what I could tell.
Haven't had to regret that decision so far.
