@derphilipp Die Geräte BambuLabs sind gut und dafür vergleichsweise günstig. Haben aber eine Art vendor lock-in der für Einsteiger kaum zu umgehen ist. Noch günstiger sind Alternativen von Creality oder AnyCubic die aber ggf. etwas mehr Einarbeitung in Dinge wie Slicing und Kalibrierung erfordern. Prusa ist natürlich auch Gold-Standard was Support, Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit angeht. Das hat leider auch seinen Preis. Ich würde (ich habe) mit einem günstigen Creality angefangen um in das Thema reinzukommen und bin immer noch sehr zufrieden damit. #creality #anycubic #prusa #bambulabs #3Dprint #3Dprinting #3Ddruck

I want to create a protective case for my vertical mouse. So I took 3 scans with different sides of the original facing upwards to get enough details from almost any direction. Scanning and mesh processing took just minutes. Now I have a STL to use in my #FreeCAD design workflow. 👍

There's no way... after all the repairs, I still cannot print anything larger than a few centimeters with my #creality #ender5 #3Dprinter... part of the #brim (and of the first layer as well) refuses to #stick to the #printbed. I can level the print bed and have the four angles at the right distance from the #nozzle (in fact the first extrusion sticks perfectly) but then the center is too low. I can place a little sheet of paper under the mat at the center of the print bed and then the center is ok, but some places around are lower... It's very #frustrating, and I really don't know what to do at this point... -

Replacement parts for the #creality #ender5 #3Dprinter has arrived today and I just replaced it. The #fans don't seem original to me, so I swapped only the broken one. The new one didn't come with the correct #connector, so I decided to #desolder the old wire and solder it directly to the new fan's pcb. Soldering inside the cabinet isn't very confortable 😅 but I didn't want to remove it all and my electronics bench isn't large enough anyway... Anyway, repair is done!
Let's see it I can complete a little print! -
I've got A LOT of failed prints with my #creality #ender5 #3Dprinter. It #clogs very easily. I tought the #filament was wet, but a couple of hours ago it #clogged very badly and I had to completely #disassemble the #extruder, #hotend and even cut a little piece of #bowdentube... before doing all this work I looked at a video explaining how to do it and...
...I SAW it. The #fan. The f...ing extruder fan in the video was running from the moment the #printer was switched on. I have never seen mine running, I always tought it was temperature controlled or something... It was just #jammed 🤦♂️ Unfortunately the plastic was very tired by the heat, so a blade broke instantly while cleaning it.
It seems I have to wait for a #replacement part, but at least I found the problem. That's why the printer was SO #temperamental! -
I bought a #creality #ender 5 pro #3Dprinter some days afo, it was in pretty bad shape but I replaced the print bed (the original one had an hole in it...) and nozzle, cleaned it up and greased. It didn't load the filament, the hot end throat was completely clogged, so I cleaned it up and now it prints!!! I printed a... #clothespin 😅
The rationale is that I need to know how the material reacts to real world usage (heat, UV, mechanical stress...): so I dated it and tossed with the other clotespins and will check in a year how it has degraded. -
I'm in the process of buying my first #3Dprinter (#used). I can source a #Creality #Ender 5 Pro locally, and I was wondering what to check before buying. I know it's possible to see in the menu the number of hours worked in the printer's life, but how much is too many? -
Great so my paper printer / printer driver / PDF app won't obey my borders so all my prints end up shifted, and the laser cutting unit also won't obey SOMETHING, distorting my images. No wonder I got the weirdest test / calibration results. Squares are not square, they are longer by 20% in one dimension. wtf. I need a different tool for creating GCode, Creality Print is shit anyway. Anyone got experience with the laser unit on the Ender 3 S1?

Hi, ich brauche mal das Schwarmwissen beim #3ddruck - ich habe einen Creality K1 und nutze diesen mit der aktuellen Version von Creality Print - PLA / PETG und ABS sind Super, bei #tpu hab ich Probleme saubere Ecken hinzubekommen, die geraden Linien sehen Super aus, hat jemand die gleiche Config und kann mir seine Einstellungen posten wenn dort saubere Drucke herauskommen, ich sag schon mal lieben Dank. Boost erwünscht.

Hey #3dprinting community!
I'm running a sturdy #corexy printer I've build myself back in 2018. Currently, I'm thinking about replacing it. Since 2018, the market evolved and seems to come up with affordable quality builds, quality of life features, new capabilities (multicolor ...) and the need for less tinkering (I've kids now 😉). It seems like the more "integrated" systems don't play nice with my beloved #octoprint . Is it getting less relevant? What do you think?

One of the best things I bought for my 3D printer.
CR Touch Auto Leveling Kit.The hardware is pretty easy to install, updating the firmware is what took some time. It was real clear which firmware to use, and a couple didn't work at all.
I've only printed two things so far, but it is impressive what can be done when it makes adjustments for the bed. And I was pretty sure I had the bed level to start with.

Load cell leveling is great, I use it, but it can have its quirks. Just make sure that the bowden tube doesn't mess with the sensor. If you have a direct drive, then I think it would be one of the best solutions if you don't have the flexibility of a #Voron #Stealthburner.

Some have called the LiDar a gimic on the #BambuLab #X1C, so I wonder if #Creality only opten for this for the trend and hype or that they brought in their own design here and use cases.
Furthermore, their first printer with the strain guage was the #crowdfunded and #KickStarter #CR6SR, which I personally have. Although it simplifies the bed leveling process and I never understood or experienced the struggles of #Ender3 leveleing, it had its own problems.

My first filament change. I had to update the print settings of my Creality Ender 2 Pro because this PLA+ from eSun preferred higher nozzle and bed temperatures than my previous prints.

I don't know, but currently, my #CR6SE is my daily driver, and it is working for me.
My only complaint is that the force sensor is sometimes just too weird to work with and sensitive to stupid external factors.
However, the auto-bed-leveling is so convenient, and I haven't had any of the manual-bed-leveling struggles that many beginners have with the #ender series.
The force sensor also makes it more difficult to mod the printer. Not allowing me to #3dprint most #opensource mods, because they are made for the #bltouch and #crtouch.
Finally, the speed is getting to me, and I would love to get a faster printer. But the price of a #voron is a bit too high and I don't have the time for it.
I really wish both #creality and #prusa brought out their own #corexy printers, rather than continuing down this path of #bedslingers and #cartesian printers.
Opinions? Would you get a non core xy today?

This is my take on the #3dprinting #challange of printing the print-in-place chainmail.
I used a creamy #PLA, which is softer and more pliable, which resulted in smooth and softer movements. A 0.4mm nozzle was used with 0.16mm layer height. The entire #print took about 3 hours on my #creality #CR6-SE
