  1. This tomato plant has turned into a whole nursery 😂🍅
Tiny fruits everywhere left, right, hiding under leaves my favorite kind! I check on it every morning, afternoon, and “just passing by” in the evening like a worried parent. Each new tomato feels like a small miracle. Farming really teaches you joy in little things… and patience too, because I’m counting them already 😄

  2. Got a ceiling full of herbs in and drying ahead of the hard freeze - rosemary, mint, oregano, and tarragon 🍃 My little sitting room in the basement is ideal for this ☺️

  3. That was my thought for the day. Now to do something positive to actually help.

I'm peddling by #ebike to help a bunch of folks construct a community #aquaponics system that will demonstrate how we can decentralize and de-carbonise our food supply system and provide more food security to folks where ever they live.

Please feel free to add a comment about what your are doing today that is positive.

  5. Today's garden haul. It's been a tough year but we still have a lot to eat every day & even some to freeze. Here are lettuce, cilantro, nasturtiums, tomatoes, broccoli spears, mustard greens, arugula & anise hyssop flowers for the tea in the second pic.

  6. This is the second year I’ve overwintered lettuce and spinach in NH. I direct-seed in late August, covering the rows with hoops and plastic in Oct. By March the soil starts to thaw and, critically, day length is sufficient to stimulate new growth. By late April I get leaves, and by mid-May there’s enough for a big daily bowlful of greens. Meanwhile, newer seedlings will start yielding in about four weeks. Bonus interloper onions in the row, too.
