  5. Nothing goes to waste on our farm. We collected discarded eggshells from our local trading center #Lunnya and crashed them by hand into a fine powder, as shown in the photos.

    We plan to apply them to our tomato garden as a natural source of calcium which supports healthy plant development and helps reduce blossom end rot.

    We apply them in the right quantities, as excessive use over time can raise soil pH and make the soil too alkaline.

    What do you use eggshells for in your garden? We'd love to hear your tips.

    Our teacher first said it was a myth, but after we explained that watering crops before 10:00 am helps the soil absorb water well and keeps plants hydrated during the day's heat, while watering in the early evening before 7:00 pm gives plants time to absorb water before night and helps prevent diseases caused by leaves staying wet overnight, he finally understood and cooled down. 😄
