Started a new project, the #FreeSewingCrux climbing pants by @woutervw. Also my first project made of #toile (#muslin / #calico ), just to see what it's like to work with it. I have some nice pink denim with a bit of stretch to make the "real" one with, once this one's done.
I attached the pockets with my Bernina 930's triple stitch, which gives this really nice top stitching. I do hope I was supposed to sew the seam allowance with the pocket... The instructions were a bit unclear there 🫣

I love this site. They also have fascinating article.s This is great for those of us who love the Regency, as well as those who wear proper period clothing. This partly explains how Brummell's neckcloths were so clean! His were either superfine cambric or fine Irish muslin (he had both). To my blind friends, sometimes, the printed s looked like f during that time, hence the muflin, foap, etc.

I dare to #retoot this cause i got the reaction bellow. Perhaps a well deserved one. Still is my conviction then worse then not knowing any about specifics religions is trying to deny that there are #zealots in all of them.
The difference between a religious fanatic #muslin, a religious fanatic #jew or of any other religious cult is #zero
And the patience to tolerate them even less so.That's a statement of your ignorance and bigotry. For example, Judaism teaches AGAINST trying to convert others to one's beliefs.

I recently came to the conclusion that if I really want to understand my country's #history I'll likely need to study some #Arabic.
Yes, #Brazil never had a huge Arabic speaking population but:
1) We inherited a lot of #AlAndalus influence through Portugal. (just look at all out words beginning in al- or ar-)
2) We had an important #muslin #slave #revolt in 1835: the #MalêRevolt.
And yes, records by the rebels were in Arabic.
I do wonder if we have today any complete translation of their writings. I don't think so but I hope I'm wrong.
