    Inzwischen wurde mir dieses Produkt geschenkt, und ich gehe mal davon aus, dass #Membrillo auch so was in der Art ist.
    Heute habe ich die Dose geschlachtet. Es ist ein sehr festes, klebriges, dunkelrotes #Quittengelee, das seeeehr lecker schmeckt.
    Der Versuch ist schon im Ofen…

  2. I have finally put the membrillo/quince paste into the oven. 😂 This is the longest recipe ever. I have been stirring it every five to ten minutes for three hours. After about two hours of other steps. #membrillo #quince #quincepaste #cooking

  4. One of my family's long-standing traditions is to spend the fall cooking all kinds of quince recipes. Quince is a fragrant yellow fruit in the apple and pear family that turns a rosy blush shade when cooked. I grew up participating in annual quince harvests, and now for years I've grown my own quince.

    Among my favorite things to make during our annual quince fest is Membrillo, a sweet paste of Spanish origin that pairs well with cheese and is lovely in baked goods. For this Throwback Thursday I'm posting my photo of Membrillo with Manchego cheese and Marcona almonds, and a link to the recipe I originally published in 2015, and then again in 2017.

  5. Woohoo! Final cooking step! One thing about adulthood I wasn’t prepared for is how much parchment paper I’d use. I’d assumed zero parchment paper.
    Now the paste is heading into a low heat oven for an hour. Then it’s time to let it cool and package it up. #quince #membrillo #cooking #quincepaste

  6. There is the same amount of sugar in this as #quince now. It’s the low and slow thickening portion of the process. If all goes well this will become thicker and more orange over the next couple of hours. Last year this part took four hours. #cooking #foodadventures #membrillo #quincepaste
