.... aaaaaaaaaaand done :3 Was a ton of work (espc fixing repo links, permissions, uploading, deprecating the npmjs.com entry and so on), but it's over! So happy to got it moved so smoothly.
Now I need to think about how long before starting deletion of lesser used packages, since I dont really want npmjs to host the data any longer than neccessary....

Finally got around of migrating my npm packages (20) to the npm repository in my self-hosted forgejo. While it's not a frictionless process (changing all url's etc.) it eases my brain knowing that my packages aren't hosted by some corporate bs site.

They're not much different from the old ones, but have a few updates and I tried to make my theming a bit less horrible (but still, I'm obviously far from a designer. It's what you get for letting a #nerd make a #presentation).

Nachdem ich bei #DigitalerUnabhängigkeit und #LeavingBigtech schon einigermaßen weit bin (nur noch die Fotos bei iCloud sind ein ungelöstes Thema), hoffe ich, dass für den heutigen zweiten #DIDay das Löschen all meiner Tweets bei X mit dem Script ‚TweetXer‘ (und später löschen des Accounts) vor genau einem Jahr auch zählt.

It's been a while but the recording of the English version of my #LeavingBigTech talk at @tdose earlier this year is finally online!
It's my first time in English and I had to shorten it in 15 min. You can notice it I fear, at one point I even made a mistake mispronouncing VPN as VPS. I felt so dumb hearing that 😬. Oh dear... Well, gotta start somewhere, in general the story is there and knowledge is shared 😅.

I finally did it: deleted all my accounts on Google, Twitch and Spotify.
This was quite a process, since my Google adresses had been my contact info for a lot of services for many (~18) years, and someone close to me has been making a living on YouTube and Twitch for ~6 years now, but unless we leave, nothing will change. I am here to support digital creators, artists, journalist, entertainers, any day – just not through big tech.
