Definitely my new obsession! I'm very happy to find a mint shrinkwrapped #kickstarter special edition. Just need to track down more 🤩

Thing is, when the kickstarter was originally running I was thinking why is a random new #TCG from an unknown designer breaking kickstarter records when historically everything but #MTG #YGI and #Pokémon has failed? It even looks fiddly and weird as far as card games go. Just FOMOs?

But now that it's out? OMG! I Neeeed!

Had a great time trying #Altered tonight! It's a bit fiddly with the paper board, thin cardboard tokens and flipping exploration cards - probably a better experience with the premium game pieces and playmat. But even with those things, it was a fresh experience, very different with no combat, gorgeous and happy art, while still itching that scratch of #MTG. Will try the rest of the starter sets and see if I want to invest in booster boxes :)

I finally had some time to try out the #earthborneRangers #LCG #boardGame and I don't know if it's a #game for me.

I see all the beauty of the writing and the systems interplaying but we needed three multi-hour attempts over several days to properly understand how to setup the game.

A 4 hour long play session past the tutorial didn't even let us start completing the quest.

I think the basic game loop [for quests] is just too long for me. Too many things to interact with.

Wieder #ArkhamHorrorLCG - heute war das zweite Szenario des Grundspiels dran. Also so richtig groovt das noch nicht. 🤔

Das ständige Nachschlagen von irgendwas zerstört jede Immersion im Keim und unsere eher mäßige Performance beim Finden und Befragen von Kultisten war auch nicht sonderlich tröstlich. Dabei lief es anfangs gefühlt gut, bis es dann auf einmal doch sehr schnell vorbei war und wir uns nach kurzer Gegenwehr schon wieder durch Aufgeben vor Traumata gerettet haben.

Da ist in vielerlei Hinsicht noch Luft nach oben.
