Parece muy tryhard pero todo lo contrario, juego Auraq que es de los peores héroes pero por eso quiero optimizar el mazo todo lo posible. Y porque me gustan los numeritos.

Maybe the wife could be convinced to try it too as coop! She did enjoy #AlteredTCG because of the #solarpunk theme, artwork, and lack of direct combat.

Thing is, when the kickstarter was originally running I was thinking why is a random new #TCG from an unknown designer breaking kickstarter records when historically everything but #MTG #YGI and #Pokémon has failed? It even looks fiddly and weird as far as card games go. Just FOMOs?
But now that it's out? OMG! I Neeeed!

Hace unos meses probé el juego de cartas #altered y me gustó mucho la dinámica que tiene a nivel de juego. No obstante, no tengo el dinero para meterme en sobres. Pero ahora una ex jugadora me ha dejado su colección y tengo para preparar mazos para aburrir = D

Okay. #Altered is definitely my new obsession!
Unlike other #TCGs it actually has a realistic collection goal due to POD. Less booster lottery too so prices for singled are fine. Tying cards digitally also makes it not rely on a LGS and local players to be able to play and opens the door to a global community with simultaneously collectible/trade and play aspect without the toxicity that comes with high stakes in rarity and competition.
I think this is really the optimal game in this genre!

Had a great time trying #Altered tonight! It's a bit fiddly with the paper board, thin cardboard tokens and flipping exploration cards - probably a better experience with the premium game pieces and playmat. But even with those things, it was a fresh experience, very different with no combat, gorgeous and happy art, while still itching that scratch of #MTG. Will try the rest of the starter sets and see if I want to invest in booster boxes :)

Following the #Oversight Board’s rec, #Meta also agreed to no longer remove digitally created #media if it doesn’t violate any other rules, but the company will attach a label saying that the #content has been #altered. Starting next month, the company will start to apply “#MadeWithAI” labels on content it determines is #AI or when people disclose they are uploading #AIgenerated content.

Got in part of a game of #Altered #TCG, though the beta on #BoardGameArena closed too quickly for the speed my opponent's playing at. (Also, not entirely clear that they know how to play???) Seems interesting. The art is nice, I don't find the QR code obstrusive at all (despite complaints), and the mechanics are fairly simple.
I have concerns about the release model, but then, so does everyone else. 🧵
6.9/10 but I don't know if I can really count it off half a play.
