Yesterday's #FreeRPGDay was a chance to check out a game store I hadn't been to before, Third Eye Games in #Annapolis. They had a huge spread of the day's #ttrpg samples, more than I've ever seen at a shop. I was happy to pick up the pieces for #ArkhamHorror and #DungeonsAndKittens. I've done some work on those lines, but these are the first physical materials I've gotten my hands on.
My wife picked up the little Loremaster's Deck. We've gotten a lot of use out of last year's Deck of Worlds.

#Descent Legenden der Finsternis und Der Krieg des Verräters haben wir in der Vierer-Runde fast durch.

In den nächsten Tagen startet #ArkhamHorror Villen des Wahnsinns 2. Edition als Zweiergruppe zu Hause.

Es sind einige neue #Brettspiele angekommen - wird Zeit, den Stapel abzuspielen. 🙂

Wieder #ArkhamHorrorLCG - heute war das zweite Szenario des Grundspiels dran. Also so richtig groovt das noch nicht. 🤔

Das ständige Nachschlagen von irgendwas zerstört jede Immersion im Keim und unsere eher mäßige Performance beim Finden und Befragen von Kultisten war auch nicht sonderlich tröstlich. Dabei lief es anfangs gefühlt gut, bis es dann auf einmal doch sehr schnell vorbei war und wir uns nach kurzer Gegenwehr schon wieder durch Aufgeben vor Traumata gerettet haben.

Da ist in vielerlei Hinsicht noch Luft nach oben.

I think of #ArkhamHorror tabletop game and its card-items and card-abilities and card-affiliations and how it all helps with decision making instead of deciphering hand-written notes on a densely printed sheet of paper.

We spent New Years playing #ArkhamHorror 3rd Edition, the puzzle-piece looking board game released in 2018, and it's pretty good. Much easier to setup, learn, and play than #EldritchHorror or #AHTCG. Expensive. Probably can get some casual gamer friends to play this one with us.

It rekindled my low-level yearning for decent #Lovecraft miniatures to paint -- if you have suggestions/links for those, it'd be appreciated! (I specifically want 1920s investigators, male/female mix, and a few monsters at the proper scale).
