I was given the Arkham Horror RPG as a gift.
I've been reading through it, and I think I have a pretty good idea of how it would go at the table with my GM style.
The sample adventure in the book, "Terror at the Tick Tock Club", seems kinda flawed, though – it's no Corbitt House – but I'm wondering if it maybe plays better at the table than it reads.
Anyone have thoughts on this RPG?

Es sind einige neue #Brettspiele angekommen - wird Zeit, den Stapel abzuspielen. 🙂
Und es bewahrheitet sich auch einmal mehr: Egal, wie viele #Sleeves du schon zu Hause hast - es kommt garantiert in regelmäßig kurzen Abständen ein neues Spiel dazu, das eine neue Kartengröße beinhaltet. 🤌

Wieder #ArkhamHorrorLCG - heute war das zweite Szenario des Grundspiels dran. Also so richtig groovt das noch nicht. 🤔
Das ständige Nachschlagen von irgendwas zerstört jede Immersion im Keim und unsere eher mäßige Performance beim Finden und Befragen von Kultisten war auch nicht sonderlich tröstlich. Dabei lief es anfangs gefühlt gut, bis es dann auf einmal doch sehr schnell vorbei war und wir uns nach kurzer Gegenwehr schon wieder durch Aufgeben vor Traumata gerettet haben.
Da ist in vielerlei Hinsicht noch Luft nach oben.

I used to play #rpgs when I was young, late 70s early 80s, but we would also play the occasional #BoardGame. #Talisman was a favourite, #MagicRealm, #CosmicEncounters and others saw some play as well. A few years ago I played #Dungeoneer with a friend, but I've now discovered that there are lots of games that you can play solo, something that will likely suit me. This was incredibly rare back then!
I just ordered #ArkhamHorror the card game and #KinfireDelve for some solo fun. -

I think of #ArkhamHorror tabletop game and its card-items and card-abilities and card-affiliations and how it all helps with decision making instead of deciphering hand-written notes on a densely printed sheet of paper.
It also had a really nice #pointcrawl city map.

When we brought our home, there was an old children's playhouse in the yard that we demolished. We've been finding ways to reuse the materials from it ever since.
I think this is my favourite so far! A set of shelves for the wall of our (slowly materialising) #MedievalTavern themed gaming room.
The idea was to use them to display the ever-growing collection of historical themed drinking vessels we've collected at faires and markets over the years. I thought we'd have plenty of room on it for more, but I underestimated how many cups and mugs we had scattered about the place! Going to have to build more shelves!!!
Makes losing at #ArkhamHorror just a little more bearable 😜

@taelmoor #CthulhuDeathMayDie is great. #EricLang and #RobDaviau take #Zombicide and #ArkhamHorror, refine mechanics, make it a 90-120 minute game, and create narrative based on a combined deck of scenario cards and Ancient One cards.
Character sanity replaces the kill track of Zombicide. They become less stable but more powerful. When you hit thresholds you must reckon with your insanity card effect.
It has the narrative feel of Daviau with Eric Lang’s innovative mechanics.
