I’ve never done a #kickstarter or made a #boardgame . At this point in history, it must be pretty well known. Anyone have pointers to companies to use to produce one? I only need a game board, printed cards, player score sheets, and printed instructions. (No dice, no figurines, no complex things)

It’s #boardgames day and the most amazing thing just happened. We are using these wooden dice that have the corners rounded. One of my friends rolled it and it landed on the corner! It sat like that long enough for me to get a photo.

Sunday's mood... Thor's Cup Norwegian #FarmhouseAle by #GarageProject while playing Parks #boardgame.

So why is there a #crochet penguin sitting on a coffee cup? Good question... When playing Parks with 2 people there's an invisible player active called Ranger Teddy.

So Frosty the #penguin - a crochet creation by @eswoooo - has stepped in as Ranger Teddy. Now it's Frosty's Cup next to Thor's Cup 😆

#MiniTaurus: a #Lego-based race #boardgame to reach the prize first. It's a bit small, therefore hard to handle for adults. The minotaur and the maze walls shifting constantly make this fully unpredictable. The more players, the more chaos, the more fun. It is a throwback to simpler times. Don't expect this to last, but it's entertaining in the right company played occasionally.

#Karak: as a kid, I had a #boardgame called #Dungeon. Karak is MUCH better! Heroes are better balanced, the game is not as fatal/frustrating. It's good-natured and adventurous. The illustrations are cute, easily suitable even for younger children. For a game which is basically pure luck, this is all very good! My gripe: the duels relocate one player against their will. Plus, the game follows avalanche logic. Early luck wins the game. Recommended!

Getting ready for a day of boardgame and bbq. Some cleaning, preparing the grill/meat, and pulling out the game boxes. Hopefully some unlocks in Frosthaven campaign.

It started with chess only, then I added xiangqi which I play more these days. Then I couldn't stop.
Only skill-based games (no luck involved), minimal design, no ads, tracking etc. Chess and xiangqi use stockfish compiled to wasm, puzzles are all in JS, so to some extent it's open-source. #game #boardgame #puzzle #chess #sudoku
