  1. Wait... Print Days got competition?!

Found the only thing that can excite me as much as printing new PnPs. And it’s the configurator behind Dynamic Print-and-Plays!

Robin and Jack are back with their 3rd DPnP, and that’s all I’m talking about in my 137th newsletter issue:

  2. A cyberpunk 4X.
    A small ‘BIG’ game.
And a solo that didn’t quite feel solo!

Overclock took me to 2089, had me rebuilding a neural network with tons of moving parts that gave it this whole game-in-a-game feel, while constantly fighting against a threat that NEVER stops!

After spending plenty of time in 2089, my review blog is finally LIVE!

  6. Branching pathways have fascinated me for more than 20 years.

From Give Yourself Goosebumps to Netflix’s Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, and now, I’m seeing print-and-play games take that same concept in some VERY interesting directions!

In my 136th newsletter issue, I’m looking at 4 PnPs that let me choose my path and shape the journey along the way!

  7. Long walks, plenty of experimenting, 18 maps... and one very ambitious PnP campaign!

For my 12th Behind the Scenes issue, Myrto takes over to share how she and Spyros created Forgotten Paths, their upcoming solo dungeon crawler roll-and-write campaign.

  8. A contest closing + a campaign that just went live + a playthrough drop + a website revamp + a game designer back at it!

A LOT is happening in the print-and-play space this week, and I'm here to share a few of the updates with you folks!

  9. Monday has turned into Print Day yet again, as I printed out a:
    Dungeon crawler × roll-and-write × solo campaign

And those aren’t 3 games, but ONE!

Get to know Forgotten Paths in my 133rd issue:

  10. Running out of room can be... fun?

    Apparently, VERY MUCH!

My 132nd newsletter issue is all about that delicious little squeeze some games create when the playing space keeps shrinking and your options start getting tighter.

Join me as I rave about 3 games with 3 very different kinds of squeeze!

  11. “The trick to making a small game feel big isn't adding more stuff. It's making sure the things you have interact with each other in multiple ways.”

The 11th Behind-the-Scenes issue has to be one of the most insightful ones to date!

Get to know how Soliman turned a sprawling 4X experience into a 36-card game in Overclock.

  12. Polyominoes x poker hands x engine building?!

    That’s one mechanical cocktail!

Stoked to have played another gem from Florian, as I’ve been playing nothing but CENTI these past couple of days. It’s the third and final game I’ve tried from the PnP Bundle, which also features Echoes of Tomorrow and Rooftop Roses.

Shared all my findings on CENTI in my 126th newsletter issue!

  13. Okay, I’m not gatekeeping this gem!

If you listen to music while playing games (if not, YOU SHOULD!), check out my latest issue! I’ve unearthed an album full of loopable 16-bit tracks that's dope, at least to my ears!

  14. A dice that’s NOT random? Is that even possible?

Well... time to find out how PRNG and controlled randomness can add a whole new angle to game design in my 119th newsletter issue!

  15. 'Tas, where are them DPnPs?'

To those who asked me about it lately, here's your answer in my 118th newsletter issue.

Get to know about the 3rd Dynamic Print-and-Play that's set to launch in...

  16. Verdict’s out, folks!

In my previous issue, I walked through the story behind my Medieval methods of crafting PnP cards, and frankly... I expected some wrath from the PnP connoisseurs.

But did I get axed, though? 🤔

Shared it all in my 117th newsletter issue: pnptime.beehiiv.com/p/pnpers-h

    #printandplay #sologames #boardgamegeek #indiegames #boardgames

  17. I have a confession to make...

And it’s about print-and-plays (duh), but NOT about game design...

This one is more about what happens AFTER I print them out.

    Do the math? 😉

  19. A game that took me to Colorado’s peaks!

I spent two weeks on a beautiful adventure exploring mountains, and I have 14ers to thank for it. Read about my journey from a novice climber to reaching peaks of over 14,000 feet, all from the tabletop!

  20. Today we have played #FitToPrint and I’m confident it’ll be a new regular family game. Youngest child got #Mycelia but we’ve not played it. We’ve just played a three hand parallel run of #UtopiaEngine which is a free #PrintAndPlay #RollAndWrite which eldest child likes (they won their game) but which didn’t engage me, even though I was doing fairly well up until I tried linking artefacts at the end.

  21. I went on a shopping spree and bought more than a few on . Most of them from Button Shy, which specialize in 18 card games.

These are just two of them, (2-4 player game about placing birds and scoring points) and (solo game about creating exotic particles in a collider). I'm looking forward to making more and also playing them.
