@mskierstenmusic and I just played our first day of #EarthborneRangers after a long hiatus and it was quite an exciting one. I just barely managed to flounder through the river and fight off its denizens while she made a final move to complete one of our missions, taking a lasting injury in the process.

Hopefully in our next session we can continue making good progress!

I played #EarthborneRangers Monday and #ImperialAssault yesterday with my regular heavy-gamer crew.

Both are pretty fun. Earthborne Rangers has a sweet, #SolarPunk vibe and is reasonably "family weight". It's not light by any means, but it seems like the kind of game a precocious 10 or 12 year old wouldn't have trouble with.

Imperial Assault is #StarWars _straight_ from my nostalgia era. Players are split with one player as Imperials and everyone else Rebels. Imps were played quite well, and the "one vs all" dynamic was fun, especially because we all play full coop games together and have a very "work the problem out loud" vibe, with varying STFU points.

We've started scheduling the next session before we leave, which has made coordinating campaign games much more successful.

Trying for 2 at once feels _highly_ ambitious, but we're playing Earthborne Rangers at 3.

Playing #EarthborneRangers and a pivotal NPC randomly got struck by lightning so we failed the mission we were on with no player agency at all. Didn’t feel *great*. There are flashes of brilliance in the game but overall it seems curiously unpolished in places to me. #BoardGames

But sheesh... that rule book is really hard to digest and that prologue is not really helping! Especially for a game, that at its core, is not that complex!

Das war mein #BrettspieleMonat Februar.

Etliches was ich noch nicht kannte kam auf den Tisch wie #Barcelona, #EmpiresOfTheNorth und in #EarthborneRangers durfte ich endlich mal rein schnuppern. #Revive ist nach wie vor beliebt bei uns.

Bei #DerSiebteKontinent gurken wir immer noch beim gleichen Fluch rum und es nimmt kein Ende. Aber wir nehmen es gelassen. Ich denke aber ich werde da sehr wahrscheinlich keine Erweiterungsflüche mehr kaufen. #The7thCitadel sollte ja auch irgendwann eintrudeln.

#Mlem hat gar nicht zu mir gesprochen, aber #Trio fand ich gut.

Finally finished the campaign of #EarthborneRangers with my 10yo son. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this (over 23 sessions) and I am looking forward to playing again solo (after my son does apparently). My top #BoardGames of November. Massively enjoying my time with #EarthborneRangers with half the campaign still to work through.

Been pretty quiet lately because I’ve been so busy, but things are finally starting to slow down. Want to share some of the #boardgames I’ve managed to play, though!

First up, I received my copy of Earthborne Rangers and dove into the campaign. I’m 5 sessions into it and as my brain wraps around the unique game they’ve made, I’m liking it more and more. I’m sure I’ll have more to say on #EarthborneRangers later on!

#BGStats for October: looks like I‘m a fan of @frostedgames games 😅

Minor #EarthborneRangers spoilers ahead.

Day 4 and first time 🤨 at this game. It's raining. Started right next to a relevant location. Special cards turned up fairly quickly, location secured. 🥳

On to the next location and finish the day.

Day 5. Rain again. Special card right at the start, so what could go wrong. Well everything. "Dude! Come on! Help this place!" - "Well, I would love to! But the special cards don't show up. 🤷🏻‍♂️" The rounds felt totally pointless. 🫤
