  1. 🌸 A small shameless plug from your friendly neighbourhood language nerd.

I’m currently looking for new work, so if you, your organisation, or someone you know needs a human translator, teacher, tutor, or copywriter, I’d be very happy to talk. 💜

I work primarily into German and English, from source languages including:

    🇩🇪 German
    🇬🇧 English
    🇫🇷 French
    🇮🇹 Italian
    🇪🇸 Spanish
    🇳🇱 Dutch
…and several others, depending on the project.

I also offer language teaching and tutoring, including preparation for language certificates and examinations. Whether you’re working towards TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English, Goethe, telc, or another recognised language qualification, I can help you prepare systematically, with practice, feedback, exam strategies, and plenty of patient explanation when grammar decides to become unnecessarily dramatic. 📚💜

I also offer copywriting, editing and polishing.

And yes: an actual human does the work. No soulless AI sludge pretending to be a translation. Just experience, care, linguistic precision, and a slightly excessive love of words. 🥰

If you have work for me, please send me a message. And if you don't, sharing this post can help enormously.

Alternatively, if you'd simply like to support my work, you can find me on Ko-fi. Every little bit helps keep this stubborn little language goblin afloat. 🥹💜

  2. I'm surely not the only freelancer who gets a sudden and dramatic case of Impostor Syndrome when it comes to naming a price for my work?

I can explain grammar. Translate complicated texts. Teach languages. Solve linguistic mysteries.

But then a client asks, “What do you charge?”
And suddenly I am a small Victorian orphan holding a calculator.
"Oh... money? For my actual professional skills? Are you quite sure?" 🥺

Logically, I know my work has value.
Emotionally, I am apparently negotiating the price of a single biscuit and hoping nobody notices.
Freelancers: please tell me this is normal. 😅

  4. New kitchen = new banana 🍌 + zucchini 🥒 bread out of the oven… and honestly?
Teaching Hebrew is a lot like baking.

You take simple ingredients, follow the right order, let things rise (with patience 😅), and suddenly it clicks — and smells amazing.

    No shortcuts. No guessing.
Just a solid method that turns basics into something you’re proud of.

    Now tell me…
Are you team banana bread or team zucchini bread? 👇

  7. Two years ago, I started hearing from Sunday school teachers—educators and volunteers in religious settings who teach children on weekends, blending language, culture, and faith. They told me they were using my free Hebrew lessons with their students. That trickle of messages soon grew, and now I work with synagogues, Christian churches, and parochial schools worldwide, providing my full Hebrew 1–3 series and online course so teachers can help a new generation read, write, and love Hebrew. Every week, I receive photos of smiling students holding their work—and it fills me with joy. Hebrew is alive, vibrant, and crossing all borders, and I’m so grateful to be part of it. 💙

  10. You know that feeling when something feels like just another task—but then turns into the highlight of your day?

That’s what every conversation with someone interested in Practically Speaking Hebrew feels like.

As a one-woman show, my days are full. But when you share your Hebrew story—what’s worked, what hasn’t, and why it matters—it grounds me. Reminds me why I started.

I didn’t set out to teach Hebrew. I set out to change how it’s taught.

Your stories shape everything I create. They’re the best part of this work.

Thank you for sharing them with me. 💙

It all started there and I wanted to share it here ❤️🤗

Every message, photo, and share means the world to me. You’ve welcomed me, supported me, and stood with me—even through October 7 and beyond.

This isn’t just a number. It’s a powerful, beautiful community. And we’re just getting started.

Thank you for letting me be part of your journey.

  12. I don’t just create programs and lessons.

    I teach.

    I guide.

I care deeply about your experience learning Hebrew.

When you join my reading and writing program, or my speaking and understanding course —

    I'm right there with you.

Not just in the videos, but in my feedback to your work and progress, in my answers to all your questions.

Every part is built to help you feel,

    "Wait… I actually get this.”

And when someone who’s felt stuck for years tells me,

“You were right. I get it now” —

That moment means the world to me.

Your success is the reason I do this.

And I’d be honored to be your teacher.

  13. Come with me…

And you’ll see the place that shaped me —

Where the language I teach isn’t just words,

    It’s life.

Every alley, every view, every voice in Israel

Is part of the reason I do what I do.

    Not just to teach Hebrew,

    But to open a door.

    So that wherever you are,

You can step into this world too —

Not just understand it, but belong in it.

Because Hebrew isn’t just a language.

    It’s connection.

    It’s culture.

    It’s imagination come to life.

    🇮🇱✨

Thank you my dear @remihaik for capturing the passport moment - it means so much.

  14. Yes, your Hebrew teacher should be a native speaker — but that’s just the starting point.

    What sets me apart?

I’m a native speaker who truly understands Hebrew — and knows how to simplify it for English speakers.

I break it down in a way that clicks. Builds your confidence. Brings clarity. Helps you focus on what matters most.

    And more than anything?

I care deeply about your success. This isn’t just a job — it’s my mission.

If you’re a student, drop a 🙌 so others know they’re in good hands.

  15. Most of the students who join my programs come in carrying bags of doubts:

They’ve tried apps, classes, or tutors that left them more confused than confident

They feel embarrassed they’re still at the same level after all this time

Some have even convinced themselves they just “don’t have the brain for Hebrew.”

But here’s the truth I’ve seen over & over again:

ANYONE can thrive in Hebrew — with the right approach and guidance

    It’s not about talent

    It’s not about age

It’s about having someone walk you through the process in a way that actually makes sense, keeps you motivated, and shows you real progress right away!

That’s what I do — and I’m with you every step of the way

    I answer your questions

    I give you feedback

I help you stay on track

My programs have already changed everything for thousands of students who once felt just like you do now

And if you let me, I’ll help you see what they’ve seen:

That Hebrew is WAY MORE DOABLE than you think

  18. Diving into something new can feel overwhelming—I’ve been there. As an entrepreneur running a one-woman show, I tackle those fears daily, learning skills from scratch.

The game changer? Finding a teacher who simplifies the process, highlights what’s essential, and provides clear, practical steps. I’ve learned from amazing teachers who turned confusion into confidence—and that’s the approach I bring to everything I create, from books to free guides.

If you’re ready to learn Hebrew with clarity and purpose, drop a comment, and I’ll help you get started.

  19. I'M AN ISRAELI
    HEBREW TEACHER

I'm an Israeli Hebrew teacher... of course, I love sharing the beauty of Hebrew songs, poetry, and literature.

I'm an Israeli Hebrew teacher... of course, I juggle building my business and
    dreaming up new projects.

I'm an Israeli Hebrew teacher... of course, I find joy in connecting with new people every day.

I'm an Israeli Hebrew teacher... of course, I never stop standing up against antisemitism and hate.

    Now it's your turn!

  20. I’ve been fortunate to learn from some incredible teachers who have turned areas I once dreaded into subjects I now handle with clarity and confidence.

And I've also encountered others who couldn't bridge that gap for me.

That’s why I firmly believe that the right method and teacher are the real game changers—they make all the difference, provided you’re ready to show up and do the work.

Everything I create, from my books and online programs to my free daily bite-sized posts, free guides, and weekly emails, is crafted from the perspective of how I’d want to be taught each Hebrew topic.

I truly believe this approach is a huge part of my success, which reflects directly from my students' success.

If you're eager to learn from a teacher who operates with this mindset, leave a comment, and I'll send you a message on how to get started based on what you want and need.

  21. These men are absolutley Awesome!

As catchy and fun as this song is I cannot stress this enough:

Just because someone speaks Hebrew doesn't mean they can teach it well.

Think about it—knowing how to read and write in a specific language doesn't mean that you would be a great writer... or translator... or teacher.

As someone who is all three, I’ve seen firsthand what makes a person good in each line of work.

When it comes to teaching a language, being a native speaker who lives and breathes the local language is a first must.

So being a native speaker is a great start, but it's not everything.

What’s the track record of yours like? Do they have a method, and if so, what’s the magic behind it? How exactly are they going to help you excel, not just get by, in Hebrew?

When you choose a Hebrew teacher, look for someone who is a native speakers, and has a track record of leading people just like you to success.

  22. Learning a new language? Don't forget, "help" is your best friend!

I am with you every step of the way inside of my Speaking Course and asking for “help” will turn challenges into achievements.

Embrace the journey, and don't hesitate to seek my support! 🌟📚

  23. Unlike apps focused on maximizing user time for profit, or big companies where you’re just another user, every course, resource, and program I create stems from months of dedicated hard work, all aimed at one thing: Your Success.

The difference when learning with me? You're not just a user or a statistic. You are the inspiration behind all my efforts. You know who your teacher is—my credentials and dedication—and that I’m always here to support you, answer your questions, and guide you personally on your journey.

I get up every morning with one goal in mind: to make your learning journey successful, rewarding, motivating, enjoyable, and affordable. That is why you always get exceptional value for your time, effort, and investment, whether through free resources or paid programs.

So, how has your experience been so far? Which of my programs or resources has made the biggest difference for you?

  24. I've recently had not one but two cases where I trusted businesses that provided inadequate services, and didn't care to much about it.

In both cases, it was a bitter pill to swallow, both professionally and personally.

You entrust a part of your world, your hard-earned money, your time, and above all, your faith in someone's promise to deliver.

And when that promise falls through, it's not just a service that's failed; it's a basic human contract of trust that's been breached.

When something is unclear or doesn't meet your expectations, know that I am just as invested in the resolution as you are in the inquiry.

My business is a testament to the values I hold dear — care, quality, and an unrelenting desire to deliver the best.

I aspire for this to shine through in every facet of what I offer, building not just a clientele but a community grounded in trust and mutual respect.
