Wow. First boarding shift at my new school 7am-10pm. Was standing up for 13hrs. Did not help that "the Pirate Code" is still the rules and guidelines. My everything hurts!

This is the the culmination of a multi week investigation.

Good morning, darlings. ☀️

I will admit that I am kind of tired and, frankly, rather motionless a lot of the time these days. My circadian rhythm has apparently gone for a gap year, my brain is running on Windows 95 and hasn't been defragmented for a decade, and my productivity has gone on an extended sabbatical.

I lack translation contracts. I lack teaching work. I have approximately seventeen thousand things I should be doing, and yet somehow I mostly sit there thinking, “Yes. Absolutely. That is a thing I should do.”

And then I don’t. 😌

Oh well. There is no magical little fairy coming to sort my life out for me, apparently. Very inconsiderate of her, really.

Anyway, enough existential bureaucracy for one morning.

I hope you all have a genuinely lovely day. Be kind to yourselves, drink some water, get some sunlight if you can, and remember: sometimes surviving the day counts as productivity too. 💜

Working on Week 11 lab write up. Need to add all the citations and references to my #CopyFail presentation slides (when did bibtex become biber???? God, I'm old.)

Also finishing up the course reflection for this, my final #CyberSecurity course. Five courses, 20 credit hours of master's level graduate courses over about 15 months.

So, ofc, I'm going to start a practicum for Orten Gillingham #reading instruction from next week. OG+#EnglishLearners = great?

Student pulls a sickie to get out of a test (Yr 11 ATAR)

I decide to build an alternative test so that their mates cant give them info on test questions to study over weekend.

I mark original test and class average is very low.

Now Im not sure if all the work on making alternative test is worth it. If their mates cant do the test what benefit will they gain from knowing their mates failed....
