The European folk rock scene experienced a seismic shift a few years ago when Franz Wüstenberg, known to many fans by his former stage moniker Sean O’Reilly, announced his departure from the highly successful Celtic punk outfit The O’Reillys and the Paddyhats. For #musiciansday, I will give a short overview of my musical carreer.
I started playing #cello as a child, played classical music in an orchestra.
Went on to playing Trad. #IrishFolk in my twenties, especially #TinWhistle which I still play from time to time.
Around that time, I also started playing the #bagpipe, mainly the Great German Bagpipe or #Marktsack as we call it.
