  1. #MniWiconi 10 Year #NoDAPL Reunion

    New Date: Sept. 17 - 20, 2026

Mni Wiconi Reunion organizers said they have a beautiful lineup in store for the upcoming 10-year Reunion.

"Coming to the stage, all the way from Watsonville, California, we’ve got SH1NE! SH1NE will be bringing his healing energy and soothing vibe to give us a remarkable performance. He is also co-leading this event, so if you know an artist, we will connect you with him!"

"That’s not all! #Indigenous frontliners will be headlining this event, your favorites are coming to the stage! That’s right, artists who’ve risked their freedoms to protect sacred water are coming back for this unforgettable experience!"

    "Who, you might ask?"

"To find out, follow us on Facebook Mni Wichoni 10 Year #nodapl Reunion and Instagram @nodaplreunion for continued updates! This reunion is one you do not wanna miss!"

Join us as we come together for healing and celebration in commemoration of the 2016 #NoDAPL Movement in Standing Rock.

Come stay for 3 nights of FREE CAMPING held at Porcupine Creek on the Standing Rock Sioux Nation Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided for duration of encampment.

Camp programming will focus on healing, networking, bridging gaps and celebrating each other and our strengths. There will be games, music, open mic story-telling, and so much more!

No camping gear will be provided as this is a grassroots-led effort. Everything you bring, please take back with you. As always, we want to the leave the land better than how we found it. “Pack it in, pack it out”

Also, this is a drug/alcohol FREE space — if you are found to be inebriated or have alcohol/drugs on you, you will be asked to leave by camp security. Respectfully.

So mark your calendars and get ready for an unforgettable camping experience to honor those who served on the frontline, in camp, online and stood in solidarity across the globe for one shared message: Mni Wiconi, Water is life!"

  11. BREAKING!🚨 #USGovernment is Preventing #TohonoOodhamNation Police From Entering Their #SovereignLand [and preventing DESTRUCTION ]

    #BrendaNorrell , #CensoredNews
    September 2, 2026

SELLS, Tohono O'odham Nation -- "The U.S. #BorderPatrol is preventing Tohono O'odham Nation's tribal police from entering their own land to issue citations to border wall construction crews.

"The crews are violating the 'No Trespass' order to build the #BorderWall . Drilling is underway,

"The media is incorrectly reporting that a federal judge ruled that the border wall is being built on federal land. Federal Judge Richard Leon actually said that this is 'likely' federal land.

"The US government claims it is part of the ' #RooseveltReservation,' a 60-foot-wide stretch along the border created by presidential proclamation in 1907.

"This matter remains before the federal court.

"The Tohono O'odham Nation said it has been #Oodham land since time immemorial and is now officially the #TohonoOodham Nation's land."

  12. Honoring the #Movements and People who Inspire us. #Warriors, #Writers and #Dreamers -- A Thread Runs Through Them. #CensoredNews 20th Anniversary.

'Know who you are, and never let anyone take your power from you.'

    By #BrendaNorrell, Censored News, August 30, 2026

"We're coming up on our 20th anniversary at Censored News, and we are honoring the warriors, leaders, writers and dreamers who make Censored News possible.

When the Mohawks came for the border summit in 2006 and 2007, it was, as they say in the movie Casablanca, the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Along with the Mohawks, leaders, writers and dreamers through the years became a sort of collective which makes Censored News what it is, a service to #IndigenousPeople and #HumanRights.

We lost many of our best, #Lakota Warrior Woman #DebWhitePlume, our longtime friend #KleeBenally, our French translator #ChristinePrat, and many more. But thanks to those who keep sharing their work, we keep Censored News going. This summer our page views increased by millions, thanks to their labors of love.

Today, we celebrate the movements and people who inspire us, as we celebrate our 20 Year Anniversary at Censored News."

#CensoredNews Hits 13 Million Pageviews -- A Labor of Love!

    By #BrendaNorrell
    @bsnorrell.blogspot.com

"We're just about to hit the 13 million mark at Censored News! That's 13 million pageviews since we began more than 10 years ago! We did it without advertising, grants, salaries or revenues. Why did we do it? Because of the love of truth. Because of the censorship in the media. Because we wanted to be part of creating a better world. And because of our love of authentic journalism. We've been able to continue because people care, and the articles, photos and videos are given to you as labors of love. Thanks to everyone who has been part of Censored News.

We will be live at the American Indian Movement West Coast Conference in San Francisco, beginning Monday, with Govinda of Earthcycles. Our live show will include guests, and call-in guests, covering the issues from throughout Indian country. Our friends at radio stations are welcome to rebroadcast the programs and interviews.

We are reader supported news. Please donate to help us keep going!"

  16. The fight isn't over to #ProtectTheSacred!

"#NDNCollective, a Rapid City-based nonprofit that advocates for #IndigenousRights, is among the lawsuit plaintiffs.

" 'From the #LandDefenders who occupied two active drill pads for a week, to fighting in the courts through multiple lawsuits and a temporary restraining order, today’s win is multi-faceted and offers a blueprint for future #LandDefense fights,' NDN said Friday in a press release.

"Future fights include one scheduled for the week of May 18. The state Board of Minerals and Environment is scheduled to conduct a hearing in Hot Springs on a proposal to conduct exploratory drilling for #uranium in the southern #BlackHills.

"That project would be near #CravenCanyon, where the rock walls are carved with Native American petroglyphs believed to be thousands of years old."
