I don't really like any industrial-scale mining/prospecting in the Black Hills.
I don't mind a little personal panning for gold and my thoughts about Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial are more complex, because they are something different.
Pete Lien & Sons is a well-established local business. They might have realized that any mining in the Hills is controvercial, but they deserve respect for offering reclamation and restoration of the area, if the judge allows.

Currently, South Dakota House Bill 1258 is under consideration by the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, where it will come to a vote this Thursday, February 13th.
