Fuck me, I’ve done it! My son’s #AppleWatch now has a new working speaker and apparently new fresh battery!🫣
I still need to glue in the display, but I want to first test if all the stuff is working. There is sound, new speaker is fine. Need to test calls!

Right… So, the #Proxmox is running nice. I have found a spare 2T hard drive (2,5”, 5400rpm, unfortunately), but it will have to do for now.
Now I need to plan on how to migrate #HomeAssistant to a #HAOS VM. I have tested backup import and most of my things were surprisingly there. I’m reluctantly thinking about moving the #Zigbee dongle, but… Not sure how it’s gonna go with #HomeKit integration. I have easy over 80 devices…🤡
I still need some kind of redundand storage…

IT DISAPPEARED...😂
Quick "docker ps" command has showed it's indeed no longer running.
Fortunately, the config has been persistent, so I just installed it again and it works... Phew...
Imagine my #ADHD frustration and need to rebuild it all RIGHT NOW...😅

Ok... I've got my brain tickled... Now my newly installed #Arch does what #Ubuntu did - mostly run idle and sometimes run a game.
The benefit is, I can now also run a new version of #Hyprland. I must say after enough time one can get used to all sorts of polished turds...😅
I have even found a suitable theme and moulded it a bit to my liking... :bulbasaurroll:

It’s been previously running on channel 11, which is in fact a shitshow, as there are up to 100 2.4GHz networks around here…😅
Switched to 25.
FORTUNATELY, most of the devices did migrate, leaving me with only a few stubborn switches.
It seems to be working more reliably. Fingers crossed!😍🙈

Damn, we did not have toys like that when we were kids…🥹
We do have other toys, though. Yesterday I’ve installed a sketchy #Zigbee device to with power monitoring clamps, so I can look at more stats and graphs…😅
The device is Zemismart SDM01 and works with #HomeAssistant with a ZHA quirk…🙈

This looks SO MUCH better… #WifeApprovalFactor bonus points have been gained!😂 It’s now 1 PDU instead of 3 power strips. Easier to manage, easier to clean, easier on the eyes… Yes, I like to look at the hardware inside…😎
At some point I will have to add 2 more fans to that black chassis, as Raspberry Pi and a hard drive inside are idling at 60°C. Also, I think I will take the modem out of that chassis, but I’m not 100% sure yet…

Daaaamn… I’ve finally had time and was able to configure the part of *arr suite… #Prowlarr, #Sonarr, #Radarr, #Transmission and #Jellyseerr now work in conjunction, so you „order” something in Jellyseer and it goes through other apps to Transmission for download, to be later imported into #Jellyfin library… 😁

Took me half a day to retrofit #Orange modem and #RaspberryPi with an external hard drive into a short depth 1U chassis…
Mostly, because it’s for MiniITX boards and nothing fits…😂 But let’s be honest, I knew it’s gonna be a „project”…
I need to find a way put 4 keystones in it. 2 ethernet in the front, 1 usb and 1 optic fiber in the back, so it’s easy to move in and out… If I only had a 3D printer…😂
I guess Orange wouldn’t be happy about that disassembled modem…😅

I’ve just pulled a trigger on short depth 1U server chassis, to put Raspberry Pi 5 and optic fiber modem in it…😅 It should remove the clutter in the cupboard and when I get that 1U 16 port switch, it will look much nicer together!😁
My plan is to bodge a faceplate of a keystone patch panel to the front of the case instead of the plastic cover, so I can have some rj45 keystones in the front…😂

I need to replace a #network cable running from the gateway to a switch. It’s going through 2 walls and 3 rooms and it’s going to be a piece of shit work, moving heavy furniture and removing and regluing the baseboards…
It’s been constantly downgrading auto-negotiated connection to 100Mbps…
Had to open the box, push the cable in with a finger and it’s now holding to 1 Gbps…😅 Wondering for how long, though…😅🙈

#GoodMorning! Ive been on a mission this morning to pick up and install a new CPU cooler. My choice is #Thermalright #PeerlessAssassin and I already see it was a good choice. I’m down from 54°C in idle and 94°C under load to respectively 42°C and whopping 72°C…😂🙈 That’s over 20°C less than 120mm AIO.
For around €40? That’s a joke…😁
It’s a big one though. Almost makes that 7900XT look small…😂

After 20 days of waiting, the replacement #UniFi switch has arrived. It was previously named Icarus I, after a failed fictional mission to the Sun. It's only suitable to name it after another failed space mission, but this time we are going to honor the Challenger!🙏 It worked right of the bat, so I'm happy!

I don't know if it was some kind of interference between #ZHA and #Ikea #Tradfri, but I started observing Ikea gateway dropping devices.
I've ditched the Swedish thing altogether and re-paired everything to my own #HomeAssistant instance.
Now... LED kitchen drivers were easy. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to do a bunch of old Tradfri outlets, but #Rodret remotes were a nightmare and it took me hours to pair them...

I'm pretty comfy with what I've created for myself, but in a long run I have no idea how those YouTubers are able to milk the hell of this for so long...😅
I must say I've got pretty comfortable with #Docker and containers. It's like updating an operating system while keeping your settings and apps. Easy and mostly painless.
I just update #UptimeKuma, #HomeBridge, #Transmission, #AdGuardHome, #Plex and #HomeAssistant and it all works fine!❤️

I think that’s the cleanest I could do without redoing cables and with no putty.
Since it’s on pretty good and the Ethernet keystone is in the wall there is a little chance kids with accidentaly kick it of the wall…😂 At least that’s what I hope for…🤡 I’m only worried that maybe ports should be facing down in case of spillage?🙈
And the most important part is the switch and the access point are working with full 1Gb speed!😔

I guess I’ve made a really bad call by setting a volume in #docker #container to map to / on the host.
It didn’t work, so I deleted the container it with all its data…
You get where this is going, right?😂🙄
