I note that there's a new "Ikea Home Smart" skill for the Dirigera hub, but as I don't have a Dirigera hub I doubt that will work.

Anyone out there having problems with #alexa and #ikea #tradfri smart bulbs recently?

Our bulbs are connected to a Tradfri hub, and Alexa has the "Ikea Home smart 1" skill. The Tradfri hub is also integrated with our #homeassistant server.

Any lighting voice command issued via Alexa are taking a minute or more to take effect since about a week ago, but commands issued via the Ikea Home Smart 1 app (on iPhone), or Home Assistant, take effect immediately.

Got woken up at 3am by this thing cycling its relay madly.

This is the second of the 1st gen Tradfri smart switches to fail of late. I’m getting rid of all of its generational peers today - I can’t trust them now. :(

This IKEA TRÅDFRI control outlet doesn't sound very happy. I had another do this flickering/chattering thing the other week. I wonder if it's a bad firmware update? I seem to have fixed it (for now) by cycling it a few times from the app with this circuit tester in it

Ich habe eine #IKEA #Tradfri Glühbirne auseinandergenommen weil sie geflackert hat.

Ich bin extrem überrascht über das Innenleben! Die Platine mit den LEDs ist auf die Platine mit dem Zigbeemodul und der Stromversorgung einfach aufgesteckt und man kann sie abnehmen!

Wenn man den Lichtschirm abschrauben könnte oder so, dann käme man da easy ran.

Die Stromversorgung ist auch nicht eingegossen, wie ich erwartet hätte. Man kann also auch Elkos tauschen. Nur ist das Kabel zu den Gewindekontakten so kurz dass man die Stromversorgung nicht einfach rausziehen kann.

Aber an sich - wow... Als hätten sie vorgehabt, das Ding nachhaltig zu machen und wären im letzten Moment falsch abgebogen.

So I’ve now moved all my #tradfri lamps off the #hue hub to an Ikea gateway and they’re behaving themselves perfectly. #alexa and #homeAssistant integration was quick and easy. Shame the Hue lamps didn’t play nicely on the Tradfri gateway 🤷‍♂️

I’ve now got five Hue colour bulbs (some bayonet B22, some screw E22) I want to get rid of and replace with Tradfri. Is there much a of a second hand market for these? They’re so damn expensive, new, I’ll hopefully get a few quid for them.

Some notes on splitting up the #tradfri and #hue lights to their own hubs:
- delete the device from the hue hub, then from Alexa, then add to tradfri hub and sync Alexa to find the “new” devices and assign them to rooms
- the Tradfri hub will sometimes tell you it failed to pair a bulb, but has done. Always check the devices list
- Tradfri lights were great on their hub until I added hue lights, then it all became very unstable for both brands of light

Additional wrinkle: #Alexa doesn’t seem to be able to see/add #hue bulbs on the #tradfri gateway 🙄

The "watch TV" action would turn on the bias lighting behind the TV, via Hue. But now that lamp no longer exists in Hue, the Harmony app was stuck in a sync loop. Not an elegant failure mode.

Had to delete the Hue integration, but that involved firing up a Win10 VM to run the Logitech desktop app 🙄

We’re now a three #Zigbee network family 😀

Let’s see if the #Tradfri bulbs work better with a Tradfri hub than the #Hue one. One would hope so…

I’ve got the hub configured, with one bulb on it. Integration with Alexa and #homeAssistant was quick and easy…need to set some time aside to move more over and reconfigure everything.

I now have a Tradfri gateway on the way from fleabay, let’s see if this eases my #hue/ #zigbee/ #homeassistant/ #tradfri woes!

Does anyone know if Philips #hue lamps and bulbs can be paired with an Ikea #tradfri hub?

There’s lots of stuff online about pairing Tradfri bulbs with Hue hubs, but not the other way around.

Also, how is the Tradfri integration with #alexa and #homeAssistant? I’m thinking of replacing my Hue hub with a Tradfri one due to problem with Tradfri lamps on Hue hub.

Seems to have been going on for a couple of years, now. I bought my initial batch of Tradfri GU10s to go with my existing Hue kit about 6 years ago, and they’ve only just started failing (as have the second hand Hue lamps I bought before that).

I read a forum post that suggested the overnight automatic firmware update from the Hue hub may be the problem, but disabling this hasn’t improved matters at all.

I’m desperate for a solution, as this has effectively broken my smart lighting setup. I can’t afford to replace all the Tradfri bulbs with Hue, but am considering ditching the Hue hub and the last few Hue bulbs I have (unless they can be connected to a Tradfri hub?)

Bought a load of new #ikea #tradfri #zigbee bulbs yesterday. As with the replacement Tradfri GU10 I bought last month, they pair and work immediately with my Philips #Hue Hub, and are picked up in #Alexa and #homeAssistant via their Hue integrations.

But after a few hours they become unresponsive. A power cycle sorts it immediately, but you have to do it every day.

Older Tradfri bulbs continue to work fine, but there’s some bug in the newer ones (bought in roughly the last 12mos) with Hue hubs

Habe bisher damit keine Erfahrung, suche ganz einfach "Wenn Button gedrückt wird, setze Helligkeit auf x%" (ab liebsten noch mit Fading), aber irgendwie scheint das nicht vorgesehen zu sein.

Ich kann ein/ausschalten, Startup-Werte festlegen, Wert erhöhen/verringern, etc. aber keinen konkreten Wert angeben. 🤔

Steuere die Lampe direkt über Zigbee, nicht zigbee2mqtt oder Ähnliches.

I don't know if it was some kind of interference between #ZHA and #Ikea #Tradfri, but I started observing Ikea gateway dropping devices.

I've ditched the Swedish thing altogether and re-paired everything to my own #HomeAssistant instance.

Now... LED kitchen drivers were easy. Took me a few minutes to figure out how to do a bunch of old Tradfri outlets, but #Rodret remotes were a nightmare and it took me hours to pair them...

Somewhat relieved that Phil mentioned that on the latest @homeassistant podcast that he has random entities with no history data or stats. This was happening to me a few months ago with #IKEA #tradfri motion sensors. I didn’t do anything about it though and a few weeks later, they had history. 🤷 #HomeAssistant #selfhosted

My #IKEA #Rodret #Zigbee remote does not completely pair with the #Sonoff Dongle Plus (CC2652P MCU.) It just stops talking to the coordinator after the first phase. However, it pairs and works flawlessly with a #Tradfri repeater that is paired with the coordinator... Hmm.
