It said #winvr did not see the #quest3 for 260 days.
Got to see my #debian13 desktop rather easy, the software is getting much better, clearly.
But still the different screens in VR where over each other, the pointers didn't work. The demo game did not start, etcetera.

Install Chrome as the www-data User
After recently rebuilding the 4RoadService web server on Debian 13, Browsershot wasn't working right. It wasn't working at all. We run Laravel on a slightly old-school LAMP setup with PHP-FPM, and run the Laravel workers as the www-data user, the same user that runs the web server, so that user needed to be able to run puppeteer and Chrome, which wasn't possible with each user having its own nvm/node/npm installation. My day has gone from bad to worse.
I've replaced #Windows10 with #Debian13 on someones computer (good bit).
Debian won't boot, so I took it home to investigate.
The #BIOS battery needed replacing and now the motherboard is dead - nothing happens at all - not a beep, nothing the motherboard does nothing. Removing the battery doesn't make a difference. So I'm screwed.

Habe am Wochenende einen meiner Laptops von Windows 11 befreit und #linux #debian13 installiert. Eine Warnung zum #grub loader ignoriert und schwupps hatte ich nur schwarzen Bildschirm mit Eingabeaufforderung. Mit ein bisschen Rückenwind von #claude war das aber schnell behoben. Bin begeistert wie einfach das einrichten war und wie aufgeräumt alles ist.Touchscreen, Klappfunktion läuft top. Heute war gleich der nächste Laptop dran. Und der #diday kommt erst noch. #dutgemacht #asus #zenbook flip

I am constantly pleasantly surprised. Since #Nextcloud flagged that PHP 8.2 would soon be too old, I just upgraded the server from 12 to #Debian13 #Trixie. Aside from changing to php8.4-fpm in the Nginx config and installing a few additional PHP modules, it was an incredibly smooth process. Kudos to the maintainers!

i find it funny that the mini pc comes with a sticker over the lan ports that says not to connect them during initial setup because windows update will take forever and ruin the user experience

So, as I've mentioned, I got a spare old #desktop computer and my friend has suggested to turn it into a #server . Which is cool and all that - but for what reason? Just because I can didn't seem to be a good reason for me...however, I've kinda realized I can do a couple things at once.
By making a server (based on #debian13 netinstall) and moving my webpage from shared hosting and Wordpress to #selfhosting and #ghostblog I can actually claim some #digitalfreedom .
And then it's hit me.
You know the meme "split,bro?" ?
If you are into the #underground music scene, especially in the #gorenoise #goregrind #punk #dbeat #grindcore and probably also some other genres, you might be familiar with it.
So to learn something useful, I've decided to create Split, Bro? app. Small, self-hosted, dedicated to help those unknown, underground bands and projects to find their split partners for joint releases.
And although it will need some more polishing and some features are #wip , I am quite happy with the outcome!!!
