gsettings is great to reproduce the setup on other machines. 👍
#GNOME shines on simple setups but seems to have some issues when the setup gets a bit more complex.
Furthermore, speed was an issue at my side: I was a heavy user of invoking the GNOME shell for starting applications and switch windows but unfortunately that was a bit of a drag to be honest.
Visually, the GNOME UI is great.

IMO, it's far from production ready, when it comes to multi-monitor and multi-user setups despite being probably the most widely used #Linux desktop environment (got any source?).

Das kann doch nicht im Sinne des Erfinders sein?! Ich nutze ein 4K Monitor, aber die Informationen bei Datei Operationen unter #GNOME48 ist mehr als dürftig. Das kann #Windows leider besser, wobei ich das auch nicht gut umgesetzt finde. Aber was GNOME hier abliefert geht halt auch nicht. Sehen die Entwickler so was nicht?

#Debian13 Trixie with #GNOME48: I just had a podcast recording session using StudioLink. I was the guest.
My headphones were plugged into the audio jack of my lenovo x13 2-in-1. My external USB microphone did fine.
However, I've lost my audio signal of my headphones multiple times during the recording with no particular timing pattern! 😲
Switching between Output Devices within the #GNOME audio settings (3-5x!) fixed the issue after a while each time.
The recording might be lost due to the issues, we don't know yet (we've got both sides recorded separately at least).
The business whole week, audio was working fine using a slightly different setup: external USB soundcard with desk speakers instead of headphones and Jitsi Meet or Teams for calls.
Any ideas what I should do now? Switch to a different desktop environment? Ignore the issue for now? 🤔
