“More white people are killed by U.S. police officers each year than people from any other racial or ethnic group. Eight of the 10 states with the highest rates of fatal police shootings are in the West, where black people constitute barely 3 % of state populations on average. As for the other leading states, one is West Virginia, which is one of the whitest and least diverse states. The other is Louisiana, one of the most racially and ethnically diverse states. White people make up the majority of people in rural areas in nearly every state and also constitute two thirds of the people killed by the police in rural communities.”

I am wary of using the term "fascist" wrt the USA.
The word "fascist" tends to draw attention excessively towards the theatrical elements of Trumpian power, such as semi-uniformed thugs abducting people.
This focus obscures the more subtle systemic fascism, from mass incarceration to voter suppression to redlining to The Pledge to compulsory worship of the military.
#ChrisHedges usefully contrasts Trump's oligarchic fascism with the Dems' corporate fascism.
