I am wary of using the term "fascist" wrt the USA.
The word "fascist" tends to draw attention excessively towards the theatrical elements of Trumpian power, such as semi-uniformed thugs abducting people.
This focus obscures the more subtle systemic fascism, from mass incarceration to voter suppression to redlining to The Pledge to compulsory worship of the military.
#ChrisHedges usefully contrasts Trump's oligarchic fascism with the Dems' corporate fascism.

I may have posted this Kshama Sawant interview with Chris Hedges earlier. Today Hedges posted his endorsement of Sawant on his Substack. Note that Alice Walker and Mumia Abu-Jamal have also endorsed her. She is one of my favorite politicians. She points out that Smith ought to be prosecuted for war crimes (Iraq War).
