  1. #AmericanFascists is a prescient book written by #ChrisHedges in 2007, which at the time of launch was dismissed as alarmist:

"All it will take, Hedges writes, is one more national crisis on the order of September 11 for the #ChristianRight to make a concerted drive to destroy #Americandemocracy. The movement awaits a crisis. At that moment they will reveal themselves for what they truly are -- the American heirs to #fascism. Hedges issues a potent, impassioned warning. We face an imminent threat. His book reminds us of the dangers liberal, democratic societies face when they tolerate the #intolerant."

  2. "He sold love away from his children's hearts
And told them it was sin
Now we're all at the mercy, we're all at the mercy
    Of that little man within..."

WASHINGTON (AP) — "Empathy is usually regarded as a virtue, a key to #HumanDecency and #kindness. And yet, with increasing momentum, voices on the #ChristianRight are preaching that it has become a vice.

"For them, empathy is a cudgel for the left: It can manipulate caring people into accepting all manner of sins according to a conservative Christian perspective, including #abortion access, #LGBTQ+ rights, illegal immigration and certain views on #social and #racial justice."

Also be really careful about extreme immigration levels.

The #ChristianRight and elite groups have been known to abuse immigration as a way to boost church numbers. There are pro-migration groups that go to countries to find Christian's that they can "sponsor", while working for slaveWages in the new country.

They claim they are helping to uplift people but are often abusing them.
