An academic analysis reviewed by Reuters suggests that a Patriot air defense system operated by the U.S. may have fired the interceptor missile responsible for a pre-dawn explosion in Bahrain, which injured dozens of civilians and destroyed homes just 10 days into the war with #Iran.
Initially, both Bahrain and the United States blamed the blast, which occurred on March 9, on an Iranian drone strike. The Gulf kingdom reported 32 people injured, including children, some with serious injuries.
On the day of the incident, #US. Central Command said on X that an Iranian drone had targeted a residential area in #Bahrain.

You can question a country's government without supporting another country to overthrow it. Who are Americans to decide which countries to sanction and overthrow? At what cost? Under the guise of "democracy" or some vaguely defined word of "national security"? The reality is this kind of stuff isn't bound to one U.S. administration, it is a spool threaded across U.S. administrations.
Iran and Venezuela share a key characteristic: Both countries at one point had wanted to nationalize their oil.

July 11, 2025"A bipartisan group of senators representing an eighth of the Senate posed for photos and met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to the U.S. this week, sparking criticism over senators’ smiles next to a man wanted in the Hague for alleged war crimes in #Gaza.
"Netanyahu met with senators on Wednesday, with leaders for both parties, Senators #JohnThune (R-South Dakota) and Chuck Schumer (D-New York) in attendance. Lawmakers proudly posted photos of the meeting, saying that they discussed the genocide in Gaza and praised Israel and the U.S.’s war on Iran during the meeting.
"Netanyahu also met with House Speaker #MikeJohnson (R-Louisiana), the latter of whom said in a post on social media that the two 'discussed America’s commitment to Israel’s security and our shared goal of achieving a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.'

"In fact, earlier this week, the U.S. State Department threatened the ICC in a UN meeting ahead of Netanyahu’s visit, demanding that it drop the charges against Netanyahu and Gallant and terminate 'all investigations and all arrest warrants' against Israel.

However, despite agreement from both parties on the objectives of the genocide, Netanyahu left Washington without the parties announcing a deal.
