Como me gusta #Blabber como cliente #XMPP. Lástima que hace bastante que no se actuliza.

Hasta ahora el mejor cliente #XMPP que probé para Android es #Blabber. Se los recomiendo.

@andyy According to the developer himself, the development is not dead but "only paused" until he "has finished building a house" but this is already going on for months. Still maintenance for #Blabber.im could return soon as it is not marked as an abandoned project.

Estuve probando Monocles Chat y consume en mi celular mucho más batería que Blabber IM.

@sebsauvage Point négatif: le système est tellement lourd que cela fait sauter l'antivirus, #trackercontrol , #blabber, et quoi sait d'autre, si #osmand est trop chargé, comme pour la MAJ de plusieurs giga de carte.

.... Et le côté noir reste l'absence d'intégration du trafic : ni trafic radio intégré, ni collecte de données qui permettent un calcul des embouteillages.

J'ai adapté les solution incomplète de https://trafficpixel.tk/trafficSql/introductionTrafficSql.php et introduit

https://github.com/osmandapp/OsmAnd/issues/6878#issuecomment-1363746726 mais sans résolution.

Promoting Xmpp is wonderful. Client is important and as a first approach, I would tell to use #blabber from #fdroid. But server is even more important: so many choices and I saw a link to check most of the offers. I would tell to use #conversations .im which is really professional and comparable to #whatsapp offer.

Habe seit Jahren eine Prepaid-SIM von T-Mobile und nutze Die Apps #Opnvpn und #Blabber (xmpp Protokoll) sowie #Signal als Messenger.

Jetzt auf einmal gehen diese Dienste auf einmal nicht mehr in der BRD!

Über WLAN funktioniert alles tadellos!

Jetzt kommt der Zaubertrick....

Als ich damit Rooming in Holland nutzte hat alles auf einmal wieder funktioniert???

Kann mir jemand erklären woran das liegt?

@blabber Blabber is the best XMPP app in terms of user interface and has many good features compared to the Conversations app.

Android has pretty good #xmpp client, #convetsations and its fork #blabber.im In other platforms I agree with the comment. Hopefully the clients will improve over time as the active ones are all pretty recent (most old clients are unmaintained or look old).

@Plumeros Gut, probier #blabber mal gerne mit #yunohost aus. Tipp zum telefonieren über Voip. Ich nutze die APP #linphone (weil gut verschlüsselt) und den Anbieter https://www.voip2gsm.de/. Da gibt es zwar keine Rufnummer, die sind aber sehr zuverlässig und günstig in das Mobilnetz und Ausland. Die Rufnummer habe ich dann in Linphone von https://www.sipgate.de/. Eingang also sipgate und Ausgang Voip2gsm, wobei man bei Voip2gsm eine beliebige Absenderkennung hinterlegen kann.

@Plumeros Moin, Bilder, Sprach Nachrichten und Texte über #Blabber für Android laufen bei mir super. Telefonieren geht darüber bei mir nicht, stört mich aber nicht. Jitsi schon mal probiert?

@tux Moin, bei Monal fehlten bei mir die Profilbilder (Avatare) und Siskin war bei mir in Englisch. Chatsecure Teste ich heute. Das ganze läuft bei mir über #yunohost Chatserver den ich bei bei mir Zuhause habe. #blabber läuft prima auf Android

We need to popularize the XMPP (@xmpp ) protocol in our circles. It is great for communication. The clients, I recommend are Quicksy and Blabber (on Android). Sadly, not many positives when it comes to the desktop clients; Dino is the only functional one. I hope things improve on that front.
