Kleiner #microG Hack gefällig?
Natürlich versucht der #Aurora Store direkt mal, den seitens microG nur simulierten #PlayStore Dienst zu aktualisieren, nur eben das pfui-böse Original, das aber gar nicht drauf soll.
Glücklicherweise könnt ihr aber auf das Paket gehen und dem Aurora Store darüber mitteilen, jegliche Updates für derartige Dienste bzw. eben dieses spezifische Paket zu ignorieren. Dann dürftet ihr da auch weiterhin googelfrei bleiben. 😇
Und ja - klar bekommt ihr weiterhin die Updates für microG via Repository in F-Droid und somit auch „Updates“ für just eben die Googledienste, die der Aurora Store möglicherweise auf Seiten der Originale aktualisieren will, aber achtet halt bissle drauf, was da aktualisiert werden soll und lasst das nie blind automatisch durch laufen.

Côté téléphone, j’ai un Nokia 8110 4G depuis quelques années. C’est un dumbphone sous #KaiOS, avec tethering (partage de connexion ternette). Je l’ai ressorti après avoir perdu mon smartphone… le clavier T9 est devenu capricieux, passer des appels devient hasardeux, mais ça me permet de recevoir des SMS — ne serait-ce pour les services d’authentification.
L’alternative moderne (mais toujours en 4G) serait le Dumber Mini, sous #AOSP + #MicroG :

It seems like Google Play Integrity Basic is broken with microG, even though I'm connected with my Google account. I know Google introduced App Licensing checks at some point, but it no longer seems to be evaluated.

Is there a central name-and-shame place to list apps and vendors which enforce "genuine" Google #Android? Users of #microG are increasingly confronted with these warnings and #nags that are transitively forced upon us by idiots in Silicon Valley.
This is not #Google caring about our security. This is #Google caring about their power and grip on society, far outside what they should be able to reach.

@globcoco I don't know if i "like" Motorola - not really, like all the other big tech companies they are probably just waiting to fully "enshittify". But atm they seem quite solid - I think their phones are even now less bloated then others and of good quality.
About #iodeOS I liked that they included #MicroG - at the time I used it I was more depending on Software from the Playstore. And they had a nice little like firewall thing integrated, where you could manage permissions more detailed. -

This means that push to send an OTP code? That message that was supposed to show on someone's phone? Not delivered. Delivered late or after it expired. There is an alternative, #UnifiedPush https://unifiedpush.org/ but no adoption by #devs means non Google Certified devices are excluded. And no, signature spoofing and #microG is not a solution.

Stats turn out better each time I upgrade my phone: Installed 50 apps through F-Droid, and 22 apps through Aurora this time. Almost 75 percent of my apps is now open source.
It's sad though that only two apps on my phone support UnifiedPush at this stage: Fedilab and Element X. But everything appears to run fine now using MicroG. The only app that has been given me difficulties is N26, which refuses to pair (probably due to MicroG).

This is a big step from something that kind of work enough to be able to use security keys without the Play Services [1][2] to a more stable app.
Among other things, it benefit from the recent improvement made for the feature on microG (it uses its lib): for example we now have cross-device login => you can theoretically login on your TV with your Yubikey now 😃
