haven’t done webdev in a hot minute, but here’s some ideas:

1. there was a whole host of modules to bridge #drupal with #moodle. drupal, in turn, has a whole suite of videoconferencing modules that could be adapted for your needs. drupal also has kickass permissions & feed syndication systems. so you can whip up private RSS feeds.

2. after 2020, universities were switching to #nextcloud to avoid Zoom. their media/comms features are excellent

3. both use OAuth/ActPub logins

I have moved and renamed my #Moodle plugin reportsources to report_sql. The new repo is available at https://github.com/marcusgreen/report_sql

Some of the upates...

New "New SQL report" button on the Report Builder page. The SQL Report link now shows in a course's Reports menu and under Report Builder in admin.

Now supports Moodle 4.5 LTS.

Admins can pick which tables are off-limits to queries.

Clearer errors when a query fails, and a tidier edit form.

Feedback fast ausschließlich positiv: übersichtlich, einfach, Nutzen wird gesehen. Manchmal mir dem Hinweis, dass man zu Anfang Schwierigkeiten hatten, die sich legten.
Die zwei, die schrieben, es gäbe besseres für die Schule und man könnte UNTIS nutzen, werden noch umgebaut. Zum Glück niemand, der it's learning kannte und besser fand.

Esta obra es una guía indispensable para entender cómo armar cursos virtuales atractivos utilizando la plataforma de educación en línea más famosa del software libre. Letzten Donnerstagabend war ein Vokabeltrainer Thema bei der #Moodlebande. Dafür gibt es bereits Erweiterungen. Aber was, wenn diese nicht installiert sind? Oder diese nicht bieten, was man benötigt?

Eine Version, die mit #Moodle ohne Erweiterungen funktioniert, ist in Arbeit.

Die Abbildung zeigt die aktuelle Version der Zuordnungsübung.

Architektur:
- Seite mit Vokabeltrainer
- Ordner mit Vokabeldateien (CSV)
- Datenbankaktivität zur Speicherung des Lernstandes (JSON)

Vektorgeometrie, so wie wir es in der #Schule unterrichten, ist für die #Digitalisierung komplett ungeeignet.
Ich habe gestern 7h damit verbraucht ein Aufgabe mit #moodlestack zu gestalten, in der S:S einen Punkt in ein 3D-Koordinatensystem einzeichnen müssen. 5h alleine, bis das Koordinatensystem so war, wie es in der Schule gezeichnet wird (auch im Abi) also 3D auf 2D proijeziert. Das wird digital nirgends mitgedacht und ich habe jetzt gepfuscht, aber das hat keine Zukunft. #moodle

A longer video (5 minutes) of my testing the AI Component of my #Moodle Reportsources plugin. It uses the current database schema and prompt to create sql statements.

It is accessing a local install of Ollama on a 12GB VRAM Nvidia 3060 with the Qwen3.1:8b model.

The failures are linked to the Best Match 25 algorithm which can be switched to full schema if you have more VRAM (16 GB should do it).
