  26. I was updating the readme file for my question bank plugin with an assistant enabled ().
    github.com/marcusgreen/moodle-
I was pleased to see it makes suggestions not just for code but for general text as seen in the attached screenshot.

Having said that it offered an incorrect suggestion that required an understanding of how tags vs categories work.

  27. AI Tag Suggestions

My plugin allows the quick update of multiple questions with the same tag. There is a Moodle 5.0 compatible branch that has a setting for suggestions based on the question text. It will work with either the core AI subsystem or Local ai_manager from ByCS Learn Platform.

  28. There is an issue in my plugin where it doesn't work with Moodle 4.5. There was a change in function signature between 4.5 and 5.

There is a full description here

    github.com/marcusgreen/moodle-

which points to a branch that should fix the issue. I would appreciate feedback to confirm that branch works as expected. I cannot think of a way to fix it apart from haivng two different branches....

  29. Software development is iceberg shaped, most of it is “below the surface” involving maintenance and working out if a reported issue really is a “bug”.

I recently had a lovely instance of this with my Moodle question type. It involved 30 comments over about two days. In the end it was not a bug in my code, and the solution included input from two other very experienced developers.

  30. Bulk tag #Moodle #quiz questions

AT #MootDach 24 I spent a little time with the very talented Stephan Robotta on the Question Bank XML export.

    github.com/bfh/moodle-qbank_bu

Inspired by that, I then worked on my #Question Bank Bulk #Tags plugin. Like the core bulk move functionality you can select multiple questions and then add the same tag to all those questions. You can either replace the existing tags, or add to them. You can find the code in beta form at github.com/marcusgreen/moodle-
