Ogni tanto guardo quali nuove applicazioni sono aggiunte al catalogo di Yunohost e oggi ha attirato la mia attenzione Globinours: un software pensato per la gestione di rifugi animali! Sembra avere tante funzionalità specifiche per le varie necessità, sia amministrative che, ovviamente, degli ospiti. Offrono anche un servizio gestito su loro server per 10€ al mese che comunque mi sembra sensato anche per piccole realtà.

C'est sûr qu'aborder ce sujet sur Mastodon, c'est enfoncer des portes ouvertes, d'autant que le billet est loin d'être complet. C'est une première approche pour ceux qui ne voient pas trop ce que c'est. Et c'est aussi une invitation à s'y mettre pour ceux qui en auraient l'envie.

Car les GAFAM ont réussi à nous faire oublier que Internet c'est nous, pas eux.

I've now spent significant time with YunoHost and Freedombox self-hosting platforms, and I find Freedombox to be the more Debian-ish of the two. There's less available, but what is available is rock solid and worth running.

To je tak, když se člověk začne hrabat v Nginxu. 😁
Nastavíš si pro Immich vlastní allow/deny, aby nebyl veřejně dostupný a šel jen z LAN nebo přes WireGuard. Jenže #yunohost při upgradu konfiguraci zase vždy přepíše, dobrák...
Takže musíš mít vlastní skript "oprava", který je zase vrátí, udělá nginx -t a reload.

Automatizace je fajn, ale automatizace opravy vlastní automatizace je ještě lepší. 😂

I finally switched back to #yunohost for my #nextcloud. More services to follow!
HestiaCP is no longer needed since i have my VPS at netcup now that is my webserver.

Quienes estáis probando #Yunohost en casa ya estáis comprendiendo la importancia de tener IPv6. Y de tener un router neutro que no pueda controlar la operadora a distancia.

Sakra! Dnes mi několikrát selhaly aktualizace aplikací kvůli timeoutům APT repozitářů. Nakonec jsem musel obnovit Immich ze safety-backupu.
A problém není v mém internetovém připojení, pro srovnání:
Debian/Fastly: ~33 kB/s
deb.debian.org: ~16 kB/s
Cloudflare: ~7,9 MB/s

TCP spojení na Debian CDN přitom naváže během ~30–60 ms. Problém je tedy v brutálně pomalém přenosu dat z Debian CDN.

Pokud vám dnes na Debianu/YunoHostu padají aktualizace na Connection timed out, zkontrolujte nejdřív dostupnost APT repozitářů, než začnete hledat problém u sebe.

Ugh my #yunohost services are back to being totally unresponsive when I try to access them, taking a very long time to come back to life. Hopefully I can get it straightened out without burning it all down and starting over 😮‍💨

It has been a long time I wanted to enable serial console to be able to manage my #Yunohost virtual machine. It's done.
2 settings to change in /etc/default/grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="console=tty0 console=ttyS0"
GRUB_TERMINAL="console serial"

I would say the only down side now, I don't have the dmesg displayed when I do reboot or during startup. I'm not sure how to change that.

- Synapse demande 3Go de RAM à lui tout seul !

Du coup je me rabats sur un serveur XMPP mais je me demande...

@sonicdebris scusami però yunohost è perfetto per hosting che tieni proprio in casa, su un pc sempre acceso e connesso a internet, non per un server remoto. Se ti server un server remoto, puoi provare loro (https://www.servereasy.it/cloud-vps/) ma a quel punto ti conviene usare una distro più tradizionale, come Debian. O meglio, è possibile comunque usare #yunohost per carità, ma penso abbia poco senso, perché duplicheresti molte funzioni di un vps.
