I'm continuing my long, slow playthrough of #FFXIV and have just finished the main MSQ for #Stormblood. Really enjoyed it on the whole... The story-telling felt snappy and quick coming back from #GenshinImpact, and there were some interesting action quests among the "go here, talk to this guy" quests.
I didn't like the enforced social raid at the end, but it was fine as a black mage.
Looking forward to #Shadowbringers now (after the in-between quests).

I just realized why my #motorcycle battery drained so fast (4 months): my aftermarket screen (CHIGEE AIO) always has power, and has sensors that trigger the camera if the moto is moved. So that’s always drawing some tiny bit of power.

I spent yesterday afternoon/evening improving the software for the CFM Picocalc... using the software itself, without my laptop. Things I have learned or been reminded of:
My line editor is adequate but not amazing for making complex source code changes. Also, it would sometimes replace the first byte of each line with the last byte, which turned out to be an interaction with...the display driver? (This is happening in the photo below)
When you have implemented everything from the CPU to the fonts, hitting a bug like "sometimes the lowercase g is glitchy" does not give you a lot of hints on where to start looking, except that it's definitely your fault 😆
Anyway, here's me debugging the line editor on BART. This system has officially been operated at the bottom of the Bay now.

I'm finally starting to feel I've recovered from the pneumonia and complications of it that mean I've missed out on loads of events this year but also not been able to work. I'm only just getting back up to steam but still forcing myself not to push too hard.
I hate to ask but if you feel I've done anything to help or inspire any of you over the years and you can buy me a beer, coffee, or whatever virtual equivalent you're comfortable with it'd be very gratefully received.
Things were tight before the illness but I had just brought in a new contract that gave me hope to carry on the company, they've been patient and waited for me to get healthy but it's still going to take a while for invoices to come in over the next few months.
Anything would be appreciated, but don't put yourself out on my account as I know I'm far from the only on struggling.
