   Eu nem sabia que existia o Arch Linux 32 até eles bloquearem o acesso para quem mora no Brasil.

   Pra quem não conhece, ele é uma versão voltada para computadores mais antigos, com CPUs de 32 bits.

   Só passando pra avisar que o site do Arch Linux 32 já voltou ao normal e está funcionando novamente. Não é mais necessário usar VPN para acessar.

   I didn't realize it would be different on Cinnamon, but my perception is that it is different. E.g. Octopi didn't change. The modal dialog win is translucent... sometimes. ha!

    Falls ihr auch gerade mal wieder #ArchLinuxARM bzw. DanctNIX auf dem #Pinephone Pro ausprobieren wollt und euch wundert, warum die Kamera nicht funktioniert: #Pipewire & Co. sind eure neuen Freunde der Bildaufzeichnung und die entsprechenden Pakete scheinen nicht vorinstalliert zu sein. Megapixels läuft nicht OOTB und Snapshot benötigt mindestens noch gst-plugin-libcamera.
    
    Jetzt muss ich nur noch herausfinden, warum Snapshot crasht, wenn es das Bild abspeichert.

    Is anyone here active on the #ArchLinux or #ArchLinuxArm forums? I've been trying off and on to register for both for a few weeks, and can't get an email confirmation from either of them. I'd contact the admins, but you have to be logged in to see the admin contact info.

    I emailed the site contacts I could find, but never got a response to those messages either. I have no way of knowing whether they just haven't replied yet, or the replies got lost, or whether my emails got deliberately ignored because I was emailing someone other than the forum admins.

    Just updated my #ArchLinuxARM system, and zsh was hanging on login.

    Fortunately I could get in through ssh and forcing bash. Rebuilding zsh-5.9-5 locally (while disabling architecture checks) fixed things up.

    Very much suspect, that the re-built package is maybe 30% larger (+2MB to a total of 8MB) than the one from the offical repos, did something go wrong with the official builds?

    So far the ARM-version broke more things for me, than the official #ArchLinux team, so hm....

    Every now and then I found it I need to clean build packages from the AUR just to be able to use them. Today I had problems with the Emote emoji picker gui program installed from the AUR after I clean build it now it's works how it should. 😂
    It's just a small thing that need to be done sometimes. 🤷🙃

    Moved back to regular linux kernel on my arch rig and I've moved some of my operations from cachyos vm to voidlinux vm.

    I also discovered how simple it was to make a service file on Void Linux. I was about to write a service file for zramen cos it was honestly just a matter of making a shell script but yeah I didn't know there's already a service file for that one, lol.

    For those running #ArchLinux with #dracut, beware of upgrading, dracut 059 still doesn't carry the patch to fix invalid generated initramfs. This occurs on systemd >= 253 because stricter sandboxing is employed here and the invalid initramfs silently worked before.

    Probably time to migrate back to mkinitcpio but now in combination with systemd's #uki and kernel_install.

    Bon, c’est quoi, la MAJ sur #ArchLinux qui a cassé #Thunar (le gestionnaire de fichiers de #XFCE) ???

    Maintenant, quand j’affiche les fichiers cachés, je peux plus les masquer à nouveau sans que ça le fasse crasher (et le masquage n’est pas pris en compte) ! Je dois passer par l‘Éditeur de paramètres pour changer le réglage.

    C’est arrivé cette semaine, puisque lundi dernier, ça le faisait pas.

    Franchement, ces trucs qui se mettent soudainement à casser alors qu’on n’a rien fait de particulier, c’est gonflaaaannnt… 😤
