Opinión | Que no le digan… | De acordeón a acordeón
En estos últimos días hemos asistido a una feroz campaña en medios de comunicación y redes sociales, desde donde se llama a no salir a votar en la elección de este domingo 1 de junio para diversos cargos del Poder Judicial de la Federación y estatales.

Conductores de noticiarios, comentaristas, articulistas descalifican la elección; han tratado de posicionar una narrativa, que la elección es una “farsa”, “antidemocrática”, que la reforma al Poder Judicial se logró por “una mayoría calificada que no se obtuvo en las urnas”. Mentira.
Particularmente se ha venido desautorizando el que los ciudadanos vayan a llevar consigo, en el momento de sufragar, unas hojas con el titulo del cargo por el que van a votar, los números y nombres de los candidatos que hayan aprobado antes.
Se han dado a la tarea de satanizar el “acordeón”, que es una forma con el que los ciudadanos podremos facilitar nuestro voto ante el enorme número de candidatos a elegir.
En mi entrega anterior, señalaba que el mecanismo de elección es un poco complicado porque, en el caso de quienes vivimos en la ciudad de México, recibiremos seis boletas federales y tres locales; en el estado de México, además de las federales, se entregarán cuatro locales más; lo mismo en Sonora. En general en 19 estados del país, además de la elección federal, se elegirán cargos judiciales locales.
Al revisar las trayectorias de los candidatos y el número de ellos, se entiende que es imposible que alguien pueda llegar a la casilla con la claridad de los nombres y números a sufragar; que es necesario hacer la tarea días antes y, en una hoja con el color correspondiente, escribir el número y nombre de los candidatos aprobados, y ya en el momento de estar en la mampara, sólo transcribir los datos en cada una de las nueve boletas.
A nivel federal, de las seis boletas que nos entregarán, tres de éstas, a nueve candidatos debemos de elegir (boleta morada) para ministros de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación; cinco candidatos (boleta verde) para Magistraturas del Tribunal de Disciplina de la Federación; dos candidatos (boleta azul) para Magistraturas de las Salas Superior del Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación (TEPJF). Los candidatos en estas tres boletas son los mismos en todo el país.
Las otras tres: Magistraturas de las Salas Regionales del Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación, tendremos que optar por tres candidatos (boleta rosa); Por Magistraturas de Circuito diez candidatos (boleta café) y jueces de distrito, diez candidatos a elegir (boleta amarilla). Los candidatos serán distintos, dependiendo de la entidad, el distrito y circuito judicial federal donde reside el elector.
Las correspondientes a la ciudad de México, en el caso de la elección de las magistraturas del Tribunal de Disciplina Judicial, habremos de seleccionar cuatro candidatos (boleta rosa). En esta elección, los candidatos serán los mismos para todos quienes vivimos en la capital del país.
Por lo que corresponde a las magistraturas del Poder Judicial, tres serán los candidatos por elegir (boleta azul) y en la elección de Juzgados del Poder Judicial, deberemos votar por nueve candidatos (boleta verde). Los aspirantes serán distintos, dependiendo de la alcaldía, del distrito y circuito judicial local donde reside del elector.
Efectivamente esta elección tiene sus dificultades por el número de candidatos y cargos a elegir, por lo que es necesario, como ya señalaba, hacer antes la tarea y llegar a la casilla con la claridad de los números y candidatos por los que vamos a sufragar y el título del cargo.
Es entendible que no todo mundo, por la dificultad tecnológica, porque no siempre se tiene la oportunidad de ingresar a las páginas del INE y del IECDM para decidir por quién votar. Es válido que, entre familiares, amigos y vecinos, intercambiemos nombres y trayectorias de los candidatos y podamos preparar nuestros listados o acordeones.
Se descalifica este mecanismo que nos puede facilitar el momento de estar en la casilla; nos va a ahorrar tiempo, evitar confusiones y a estar claros que el dato transcrito sea el correcto.
Desde la derecha no sólo se llama a no votar este domingo 1 de junio, se descalifica el hecho que la población salga a optar porque, argumentan, “no tienen título de abogados; discriminan: no tienen la “calidad”, ni conocimientos para elegir. “No saben ni de qué se trata”, arguyen.
Desautorizan que la población vaya a llegar con su acordeón, pues discuten, “es antidemocrático”. Se les olvida cuando sólo unos cuantos poderosos decidían quiénes de su bando deberían ser, cuando mandaban su lista de palomeados, su acordeón.
Que no le cuenten…
Mi solidaridad con el periodista Álvaro Delgado. La candidata a ministra de la Suprema Corte, magistrada del tribunal de Justicia Administrativa, Magda Zulema Mosri, esposa de Rafael Macedo de la Concha, lo ha amenazado: “hasta aquí llegaste”, escribió en su cuenta de X, dirigiéndose a él. Preocupante el mensaje de alguien que aspira que votemos por ella para ocupar un alto cargo en el poder Judicial de nuestro país. Empecemos por negárselo.

Unmother – State Dependent Memory Review By TymeIndependent U.K. undergrounder’s, Unmother, have been holding a mirror up to urban dystopian dehumanization since forming in 2019. Their 2021 debut, Lay Down the Sun, garnered significant underground acclaim that, according to the promo kit, established Unmother “as a restless and forward-thinking presence within the scene.” Foregoing the nature-scapes and mythological motifs of other post-black metal outfits, Unmother draws inspiration from the streets and, with their sophomore effort, State Dependent Memory,1 examines “urban isolation, inner dislocation, and moral decline, reflecting a world formed by concrete environments and social erosion.”2 After swapping their first “V” vocalist, Venla,3 for their second, V. (VOAK), Unmother prepares to take the next step on their evolving musical journey. Does State Dependent Memory offer a solution that might save our base, dehumanized society, from itself, or will it amount to so much piss in the wind?
State Dependent Memory crackles with gritty, asphaltic energy, casting Unmother as conscientious agitators, decrying societal urban decay in veins similar to acts like Chat Pile or Ashenspire, even if avoiding any direct auricular comparison. Departing from the rawer, denser claustrophobia of Lay Down the Sun, Unmother sought slightly warmer sonic climes on State Dependent Memory, weaving undulating post-metal textures into its mostly traditional black-metal framework. Sure, plenty of blast beats and tremolos (“My Armor,” “Bear Hug”) remain, courtesy of drummer B. and guitarists Azoso and Declwa (who also handles bass). Still, it’s what Unmother does with the spaces between that adds the most character, which begins with the varied vocal approach of V., who, like Attila Csihar, possesses a wider range of barks, croaks, shouts, and screams than his more one-dimensional predecessor, whose hissier, raw-blackened rasp overpowered much of Lay Down the Sun for me. Without dulling any of the sharp edges that, well, make them edgy, Unmother benefits from their take on “post” as a counterpoint to tradition.
State Dependent Memory tips the scales of orthodoxy with atmospheres that are as hypnotizing as they are abrasive. Pensive and creepy, the leads that skulk through the shadowed alleys of “Modern Dystopia” are effective and shroud the track with an almost Marilyn Manson-like pall, while Declwa’s bass notes thrum and throb like slow-strobing traffic lights on a dark, misty night. Venla makes a guest appearance here as well; his croaking rasp at this dose ups the fear factor and complements V.’s tortured delivery. Satisfying, too, is the eerie, haunted-jewelry-box melody and desperate howling of V., which make up the slower-paced interlude within the trad-black assault of “Bear Hug,” offering a sprinkling of Shining-like glitter. Ironically, the most black metal track on State Dependent Memory is Unmother’s cover of “Αττική – Βικτώρια” (“Attiki Victoria”) by Greek synthwave outfit ΟΔΟΣ 55, which distills the eight-minute-long original’s main melody down to a viscerally efficient, tremolo-forward beast. It’s poppy, new-wave-esque movements, filled with an almost hopeful melodicism, are set effectively against V.’s pleading screams and shouts.
Angeliki Mourgela’s mix and Roland Rodas’ master capture the essence of Unmother’s talents. With a foggy production that reminded me of Mayhem’s Ordo ad Chao, I enjoyed Lay Down the Sun but had to strain to pick out much of its instrumental intricacy. State Dependent Memory doesn’t suffer the same issue, as each instrument glows brightly in its own space, with B.’s varied drum performance and Declwa’s excellent bass work being the biggest beneficiaries. And while I can’t say Unmother wasted any of State Dependent Memory’s thirty-eight-minute runtime, closing the album with the no-burn instrumental “Magda” was a miss. The track fades in with some reflective, organ-like synths, foreign-spoke voice samples,4 and gently plucked guitar lines bolstered with tension-building but delicately strummed chords, which all continue to build slightly over the next four minutes and twenty seconds only to fade out again. No satisfying payoff, just a segue to silence. Whether this move was intentional or not, the addition of another well-executed track proper could have avoided such a deflating ending.Acerbically moody, Unmother possesses a maturity that belies their short existence. This quartet of relative unknowns continues to carve their mark into the U.K.’s underground metal scene, and if State Dependent Memory is any indication, they may not be toiling down there for long.

Still, it’s what Unmother does with the spaces between that adds the most character, which begins with the varied vocal approach of V., who, like Attila Csihar, possesses a wider range of barks, croaks, shouts, and screams than his more one-dimensional predecessor, whose hissier, raw-blackened rasp overpowered much of Lay Down the Sun for me. Without dulling any of the sharp edges that, well, make them edgy, Unmother benefits from their take on “post” as a counterpoint to tradition.
State Dependent Memory tips the scales of orthodoxy with atmospheres that are as hypnotizing as they are abrasive. Pensive and creepy, the leads that skulk through the shadowed alleys of “Modern Dystopia” are effective and shroud the track with an almost Marilyn Manson-like pall, while Declwa’s bass notes thrum and throb like slow-strobing traffic lights on a dark, misty night. Venla makes a guest appearance here as well; his croaking rasp at this dose ups the fear factor and complements V.’s tortured delivery. Satisfying, too, is the eerie, haunted-jewelry-box melody and desperate howling of V., which make up the slower-paced interlude within the trad-black assault of “Bear Hug,” offering a sprinkling of Shining-like glitter. Ironically, the most black metal track on State Dependent Memory is Unmother’s cover of “Αττική – Βικτώρια” (“Attiki Victoria”) by Greek synthwave outfit ΟΔΟΣ 55, which distills the eight-minute-long original’s main melody down to a viscerally efficient, tremolo-forward beast. It’s poppy, new-wave-esque movements, filled with an almost hopeful melodicism, are set effectively against V.’s pleading screams and shouts.
Angeliki Mourgela’s mix and Roland Rodas’ master capture the essence of Unmother’s talents. With a foggy production that reminded me of Mayhem’s Ordo ad Chao, I enjoyed Lay Down the Sun but had to strain to pick out much of its instrumental intricacy. State Dependent Memory doesn’t suffer the same issue, as each instrument glows brightly in its own space, with B.’s varied drum performance and Declwa’s excellent bass work being the biggest beneficiaries. And while I can’t say Unmother wasted any of State Dependent Memory’s thirty-eight-minute runtime, closing the album with the no-burn instrumental “Magda” was a miss. The track fades in with some reflective, organ-like synths, foreign-spoke voice samples,4 and gently plucked guitar lines bolstered with tension-building but delicately strummed chords, which all continue to build slightly over the next four minutes and twenty seconds only to fade out again. No satisfying payoff, just a segue to silence. Whether this move was intentional or not, the addition of another well-executed track proper could have avoided such a deflating ending.Acerbically moody, Unmother possesses a maturity that belies their short existence. This quartet of relative unknowns continues to carve their mark into the U.K.’s underground metal scene, and if State Dependent Memory is any indication, they may not be toiling down there for long.

Unmother – State Dependent Memory Review By TymeIndependent U.K. undergrounder’s, Unmother, have been holding a mirror up to urban dystopian dehumanization since forming in 2019. Their 2021 debut, Lay Down the Sun, garnered significant underground acclaim that, according to the promo kit, established Unmother “as a restless and forward-thinking presence within the scene.” Foregoing the nature-scapes and mythological motifs of other post-black metal outfits, Unmother draws inspiration from the streets and, with their sophomore effort, State Dependent Memory,1 examines “urban isolation, inner dislocation, and moral decline, reflecting a world formed by concrete environments and social erosion.”2 After swapping their first “V” vocalist, Venla,3 for their second, V. (VOAK), Unmother prepares to take the next step on their evolving musical journey. Does State Dependent Memory offer a solution that might save our base, dehumanized society, from itself, or will it amount to so much piss in the wind?
State Dependent Memory crackles with gritty, asphaltic energy, casting Unmother as conscientious agitators, decrying societal urban decay in veins similar to acts like Chat Pile or Ashenspire, even if avoiding any direct auricular comparison. Departing from the rawer, denser claustrophobia of Lay Down the Sun, Unmother sought slightly warmer sonic climes on State Dependent Memory, weaving undulating post-metal textures into its mostly traditional black-metal framework. La radio ante la inteligencia artificial: experta de la UNAM
Su esencia es la voz y la información, resalta con motivo del Día Mundial de la Radio, que se conmemora el 13 de febrero
Por Martín García | ReporteroLa inteligencia artificial (IA) es una herramienta poderosa, es decir, una tecnología que cambia, y es necesario aprender a manejarla para actualizar la radio en función de aprovechar lo que esta innovación digital ofrece, sin perder de vista que la esencia del medio son las personas.
Entrevistada en ocasión del Día Mundial de la Radio, la profesora de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales (FCPyS) de la UNAM, Magda Lillalí Rendón García, asegura lo anterior y argumenta:
Es un instrumento más que se utiliza en la producción radiofónica, que no sustituye a quienes están interesados en generar nuevos contenidos ofreciendo su opinión sobre diversos temas.
La académica detalla que la radio es importante y ha sido parte del desarrollo de las sociedades en materia de identidad, información y educación, además de su papel en las guerras mundiales.
La maestra en Comunicación señala: Ha enfrentado el surgimiento de otros medios como la televisión y la llegada de internet. Cuando el consumo empieza a presentarse en sitios web, en las redes y ahora con la IA, el cambio se ha potenciado con la generación de productos que se adaptan a los consumidores; entonces, la radio tradicional necesita reorganizarse.
Rendón García afirma: Más que tenerle miedo a su uso en ese ámbito, hay que conocerla más para identificar qué es capazas de hacer sin pensar que hará el trabajo, ya que únicamente es una ayuda que la persona usuaria debe revisar, corregir, adaptar y, con base en ello, obtener un mejor producto.
Es de valía
De acuerdo con la experta, como medio de comunicación sigue mostrando su valía. El mejor ejemplo es que durante la pandemia ayudó a difundir campañas de educación y vincular a las personas que estaban a distancia.
Con su incorporación a nuevas tecnologías se puede tener mayor interacción con las personas oyentes, porque hay programas en los cuales al transmitir una entrevista es posible saber en tiempo real las dudas de quienes escuchan.
Al igual que se ha especulado sobre la pérdida de los libros, o de la televisión ante la llegada de una nueva tecnología, la radio solamente se está transformando para recuperar su poder como transmisora de mensajes y las posibilidades que ofrece.
En las zonas rurales, precisa, la influencia de la radio es trascendental y siempre está presente, pues la gente sintoniza sus contenidos; lo que ha cambiado es el equipo de transmisión, ya sea en un radio, computadora, teléfono celular o tableta.
Al igual que otros medios, se vuelve híbrida. En sus inicios las emisoras contaban con público presente en vivo, conviviendo. Ahora es común ver que durante un programa hay una cámara que transmite a las redes sociodigitales.
Rendón García añade: Hoy en día la manera en que se graba es distinta, la forma en que se planifica el contenido, pero la esencia de la radio y de su función, y su poder, no cambian: la voz y la información.
Los jóvenes siguen atraídos por producir programas, razón por la cual en la FCPyS se les orienta en la importancia de su voz y pensamiento crítico, destaca Rendón García.
Se enfatiza en la enseñanza de la radio tradicional y la manera de elaborar podcast como piezas fundamentales para informar, mostrándoles cómo el uso de la radio ayuda en diferentes escenarios de comunicación, educación o diversión. Las y los alumnos están interesados en darle sentido a sus palabras y no solo a la imagen, puntualiza.
En ese sentido, Rendón García asevera: Tenemos que fortalecer su pensamiento crítico, especialmente de las y los comunicólogos, para tener una radio fortalecida y potenciada.
El principio básico, subraya, es poner en duda lo que escuchas porque las opiniones vienen de un bagaje cultural, de un contexto social, económico, político y de una edad que te permite ver de una manera la vida.
Entonces, cuando se escucha algo debemos entender quién y cómo lo está diciendo y para qué; eso es lo que puede ayudar a fortificar la radio y su presencia.
Cabe recordar que dicha efeméride fue proclamada en 2012 por la UNESCO para agradecer a las emisoras las noticias que difunden, las voces que amplifican y las historias que comparten. La jornada 2026 está dedicada a la IA para innovar y ahondar en el vínculo con los oyentes. –sn–

Opinión | Que no le digan… | De acordeón a acordeón
En estos últimos días hemos asistido a una feroz campaña en medios de comunicación y redes sociales, desde donde se llama a no salir a votar en la elección de este domingo 1 de junio para diversos cargos del Poder Judicial de la Federación y estatales.

Conductores de noticiarios, comentaristas, articulistas descalifican la elección; han tratado de posicionar una narrativa, que la elección es una “farsa”, “antidemocrática”, que la reforma al Poder Judicial se logró por “una mayoría calificada que no se obtuvo en las urnas”. Mentira.
Particularmente se ha venido desautorizando el que los ciudadanos vayan a llevar consigo, en el momento de sufragar, unas hojas con el titulo del cargo por el que van a votar, los números y nombres de los candidatos que hayan aprobado antes.
Se han dado a la tarea de satanizar el “acordeón”, que es una forma con el que los ciudadanos podremos facilitar nuestro voto ante el enorme número de candidatos a elegir.
En mi entrega anterior, señalaba que el mecanismo de elección es un poco complicado porque, en el caso de quienes vivimos en la ciudad de México, recibiremos seis boletas federales y tres locales; en el estado de México, además de las federales, se entregarán cuatro locales más; lo mismo en Sonora. En general en 19 estados del país, además de la elección federal, se elegirán cargos judiciales locales.
Al revisar las trayectorias de los candidatos y el número de ellos, se entiende que es imposible que alguien pueda llegar a la casilla con la claridad de los nombres y números a sufragar; que es necesario hacer la tarea días antes y, en una hoja con el color correspondiente, escribir el número y nombre de los candidatos aprobados, y ya en el momento de estar en la mampara, sólo transcribir los datos en cada una de las nueve boletas.
A nivel federal, de las seis boletas que nos entregarán, tres de éstas, a nueve candidatos debemos de elegir (boleta morada) para ministros de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación; cinco candidatos (boleta verde) para Magistraturas del Tribunal de Disciplina de la Federación; dos candidatos (boleta azul) para Magistraturas de las Salas Superior del Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación (TEPJF). Los candidatos en estas tres boletas son los mismos en todo el país.
Las otras tres: Magistraturas de las Salas Regionales del Tribunal Electoral del Poder Judicial de la Federación, tendremos que optar por tres candidatos (boleta rosa); Por Magistraturas de Circuito diez candidatos (boleta café) y jueces de distrito, diez candidatos a elegir (boleta amarilla). Los candidatos serán distintos, dependiendo de la entidad, el distrito y circuito judicial federal donde reside el elector.
Las correspondientes a la ciudad de México, en el caso de la elección de las magistraturas del Tribunal de Disciplina Judicial, habremos de seleccionar cuatro candidatos (boleta rosa). En esta elección, los candidatos serán los mismos para todos quienes vivimos en la capital del país.
Por lo que corresponde a las magistraturas del Poder Judicial, tres serán los candidatos por elegir (boleta azul) y en la elección de Juzgados del Poder Judicial, deberemos votar por nueve candidatos (boleta verde). Los aspirantes serán distintos, dependiendo de la alcaldía, del distrito y circuito judicial local donde reside del elector.
Efectivamente esta elección tiene sus dificultades por el número de candidatos y cargos a elegir, por lo que es necesario, como ya señalaba, hacer antes la tarea y llegar a la casilla con la claridad de los números y candidatos por los que vamos a sufragar y el título del cargo.
Es entendible que no todo mundo, por la dificultad tecnológica, porque no siempre se tiene la oportunidad de ingresar a las páginas del INE y del IECDM para decidir por quién votar. Es válido que, entre familiares, amigos y vecinos, intercambiemos nombres y trayectorias de los candidatos y podamos preparar nuestros listados o acordeones.
Se descalifica este mecanismo que nos puede facilitar el momento de estar en la casilla; nos va a ahorrar tiempo, evitar confusiones y a estar claros que el dato transcrito sea el correcto.
Desde la derecha no sólo se llama a no votar este domingo 1 de junio, se descalifica el hecho que la población salga a optar porque, argumentan, “no tienen título de abogados; discriminan: no tienen la “calidad”, ni conocimientos para elegir. “No saben ni de qué se trata”, arguyen.
Desautorizan que la población vaya a llegar con su acordeón, pues discuten, “es antidemocrático”. Se les olvida cuando sólo unos cuantos poderosos decidían quiénes de su bando deberían ser, cuando mandaban su lista de palomeados, su acordeón.
Que no le cuenten…
Mi solidaridad con el periodista Álvaro Delgado. La candidata a ministra de la Suprema Corte, magistrada del tribunal de Justicia Administrativa, Magda Zulema Mosri, esposa de Rafael Macedo de la Concha, lo ha amenazado: “hasta aquí llegaste”, escribió en su cuenta de X, dirigiéndose a él. Preocupante el mensaje de alguien que aspira que votemos por ella para ocupar un alto cargo en el poder Judicial de nuestro país. Empecemos por negárselo.
