The concentration camps, by making death itself anonymous (making it impossible to find out whether a prisoner is dead or alive), robbed death of its meaning as the end of a fulfilled life. Hannah Arendt, famous for explaining how the horrors in Nazi Germany could happen, wrote in 1971 (in "Thinking and Moral Considerations") about the war criminal Adolf Eichmann:

[…] the doer was neither monstrous nor demonic, and the only specific characteristic […] was something entirely negative: it was not stupidity but a curious, quite authentic inability to think.
An "extraordinary shallowness". Not wicked or stupid. If you give them a problem to handle, such as the logistics of mass deportation, they are quite able to achieve. But very believably, convincingly being *unable to think*.

Eichmann's last words before he was hanged, were these:

[…] this simple fact had not occurred to him, just as inconsistencies and flagrant contradictions in examination and cross-examinations during the trial had not bothered him.
Imagine saying, "We'll be united again someday," to random journalists when it's you who's executed, not you the surviving one saying goodbye to the lost one … and never noticing these contradictions because you're just *not thinking*.

GLOBAL, weil #Frauenrechte weltweit angegriffen werden +++ #STREIKEN, denn für #Frauen* war es schon immer das mächtigste gewaltfreie Werkzeug gegen #Kapitalismus und Patriarchat +++ GENERAL STRIKE, weil Ungerechtigkeit alle Bereiche unseres Lebens betrifft - wir stehen vor einem allgemeinen Angriff auf unseren Körper, unsere Seele und unseren Geist.
Wer sind wir?
Im Mai 2025 sprachen vier Frauen – die nur durch gegenseitigen Respekt verbunden sind – öffentlich darüber, was wir alle aus unzähligen Gesprächen mit anderen Frauen* wissen: Unglaube, Ohnmacht oder Entmachtung, Erschöpfung und Wut angesichts einer Welt in der Krise, die hauptsächlich durch ein Geschlecht verursacht wird. Dies bildete einen kollektiven Aufschrei: GENUG! BASTA! €HER! GENUG!

Wir sind viele gewordenGENUG! ist eine wachsende Plattform mit tatsächlich mehr als 1.000 Frauen* und mehreren Dutzend Männern*, über 40 regionalen Gruppen auf der ganzen Welt und ebenso vielen Organisationen wie Multiplikatoren - jede sagt genug! auf ihre eigene Art.
Die Zeit ist gekommen
Für einen so vielfältigen Protest wie unsere Erfahrungen, Hintergründe und Generationen und als notwendige Antwort auf die eskalierende globale Bedrohung, finanzielle Prekarität und Diskriminierung, mit der Frauen* in all ihrer Vielfalt konfrontiert sind.
GENUG! von endlosen Kriegen, angetrieben von Autokraten gegen gegen Gegenstimmen, Menschenrechte, Völkerrecht und Meinungsfreiheit und Presse. BASTA! für diejenigen, die die #Klimakatastrophe leugnen, Menschen und die #Natur ausbeuten und unvorstellbaren #Reichtum und #Macht aufbauen. Es ist Zeit für einen lauten, kollektiven GENUG!
Die #Geschichte kennt unsere Macht. Es ist höchste Zeit, dass wir es wieder benutzen.
Wie frau mitmacht
