It is actually a campaign to make everyone but billionaires require government approval to manufacture anything, in order to destroy any possibility for anyone but the ruling class to compete or to make or repair our own things.
It is part of a larger demostrated pattern of seeking to control as much as everyone else’s lives as possible.

An important decision from the MA Supreme Judicial Court today. They limit the "horizontal knowledge" doctrine. In determining reasonable suspicion, the knowledge of fellow officers may not be imputed to the officer unless they are in "close and continuous communication."
The doctrine had been criticized as allowing police to create justifications for pretextual arrests after the fact.

People often refer to #stopandfrisk as if it were simply a misguided police tactic. I believe they envision it as an unpleasant but brief encounter with the police.
