Worked example: my partner and I live in the UK, so rabies isn't a huge issue. Regardless of money, I still would follow the vet's advice on getting our cats rabies shots or not.

Indoor only, non-travelling, non-breeding kittens probably don't need rabies shots. And that's ME saying that! I will take any damn jabs you offer. I do NOT want to be sick ffs.
But yeah! Now with more information, I can modify my expectations on caring for fellow living creatures. Since that's how a gd adult takes responsibility.
