I was tired of the native mail app and needed something fresh, so I went back to #SparkMail. I’m enjoying it so far!

Also, I switched back to the original lockscreen controls. Couldn’t beat muscle memory 🤷🏽‍♂️

Every #SparkMail update adds AI features designed to avoid reading or writing email, while the Mac app gets slower and flakier as an actual email client. Might have to jump back to Mail.app until #MimeStream supports IMAP/JMAP (hopefully someday 🙏).

Every now and then I think I want to give #CanaryMail another shot. And then I get a notification that I have an #Email but it never shows in my #Inbox. I end up having to open a different #App to see it. Back to #SparkMail I go.

@viticci I'm always on the lookout for a better email client. I've been using #SparkMail for the last several years. Can't say I'm thrilled with some of the new "features" and I refuse to use the new interface. Maybe it's time to give #Mimestream a look.

Sounds like #Thunderbird may soon be the #email client I'm looking for (with the Holy Grail of syncing multiple accounts across multiple desktop and mobile devices). #Email is clunky. Keeping on top of multiple email accounts and domains is clunkier. I've been looking for elegant ways to streamline it all (across multiple devices) and keep on top of my workload. Hopefully I'll make a decision soon. #Fastmail or #SparkMail look like possible options. Or redirecting everything to a single account and setting up some seriously good filters.

UPDATE: Ultimately #CanaryMail had a lot of stuff I liked but odd bugs made me uncomfortable using it as my daily driver. Giving #SparkMail another shot. The problem I had with Spark before is the same I was seeing with Canary. It would fail to load all of my emails. Spark has released a new version since then, so I’m hoping that’s been corrected. #Mail #EMail

Ahora que he migrado de #Gmail a #iCloudMail, estaría genial encontrar algo similar a @mimestream tanto para #macOS como para #iOS en lugar de usar #AppleMail. Y, no, #SparkMail no me apaña.

Po raz kolejny robię podejście pod #sparkmail na iOS i macOS. Oprócz tego, że nie ma tłumaczenia na polski, to nie ma możliwości podpisywania wiadomości. Ani certyfikatami SMIME ani kluczami GPG. Ma natomiast jedną zaletę. Push notofications, nawet dla kont, których serwery tego nie wspierają.

what is everyone using for an #EmailClient these days? The #gmail interface seems to be languishing a bit and I'm thinking an actual client application might be nice.

Couple options I'm seeing are #postbox, #mailbird, #mailspring, #sparkmail and #thunderbird.

I've used thunderbird on and off over the last 15-20 years.

I prefer #Open Source (!=free) options but if a closed, commercial app soars about all others, I'm not philosophically entrenched.

@paul rest in peace #Tweetbot. One of the few apps that has had a permanent place on my phone (let alone my Homescreen!) for the last 10 years. Many other apps have come and gone, been born, thrived and been replaced by other apps or killed. Some of the bigger examples:

Alien Blue —> #Apollo
Dark Sky —> #CarrotWeather
Mailbox —> Inbox —> #SparkMail

And now, after 10 years… Tweetbot (for #Twitter) —> #Ivory (for #Mastodon).

@steveumstead Ha! I’d been using #SparkMail for a while, but the OS integration and privacy features of #Mail made me want to give it a shot again. Having to move/delete the same messages multiple times is kind of a deal-breaker though.
