I see what it is. All of my TLD "owned domain names" are not there.
So. yep. that explains why we don't use it.
For a while, it had access to any imap.
:(are there #emailservice providers that let you setup for aggregate / inbox, several accounts like that?
#Spark email isnt free. #mailspring breaks for me, as well as #bluemail
never sending mail, waiting 15 minutes for a compose window to be drawn, composed from the wrong account, etc.that's where the time goes, you know.

Found a bit of time before bed to try the recommended #email clients from yesterday.
#Claws was a little off-putting at first - reminded me of #Thunderbird circa 2007. But, I think it needs plugins/tweaks installed to be a fair trial.
#Betterbird feels like a comfy old shoe like Tbird. Just scratching the surface for now.
#Mailspring seems quite nice. The #cloud BS during setup was off-putting to me. Unlike #Geary, double-clicking an email opens it in a new window (which I want)

Being a #Gnome fanboy, I happily use the #Evolution mail client for most of my professional correspondence, but I also like to have my private e-mail handled in a separate client.
In most cases, my go-to option for this is #Thunderbird. Today, however, I installed #Mailspring on one of my machines (a fork of #NylasMail, as I read?). It looks and feels pretty good on first sight. Does anyone have experiences with that #opensource client on #Linux?

This aged well. 🙄 I have since discovered that #Mailspring is terrible at managing folders with large quantities of messages. I changed the name of and merged messages on a couple of folders which looked OK, but turns out that it didn't sync the changes back to the server. This has happened on both #MacOS and #Linux versions of the app.

Tip for access rights issues for apps on #Linux that were installed via #flatpak (e.g. #Mailspring not able to attach files): Use the app `flatseal` to manage rights for all flatpak apps easily via a GUI.

Вот изменений реально много НО. Каждый раз я устанавливаю его проверить, принесли ли поддержку сообщений в виде бесед, а не ветки писем, как это сделано в #Gmail, #Geary, #Mailspring и куче где ещё?
Но нет, каждый раз ещё нет. Расширение #Thunderbird #Conversations смотрится так себе. А без него пользоваться тупо неудобно. А с ним выглядит ужасно, да и забагован он.
Уже давно сижу на Mailspring. Не #OpenSource нифига, но удобный. Geary подходит для дома, но не для работы. Thunderbird классный. Оч долго на нём сидел, но мне нужны этот чертов Conversations view )

Have you heard of #Mailspring and #JMAP?The former is an Apple Mail-Like IMAP client and the latter is an IMAP alternative that eases building clients.

I prefer #Open Source (!=free) options but if a closed, commercial app soars about all others, I'm not philosophically entrenched.

Very few choices of email client on #linux.
The only modern option is #Mailspring, but even that is not a smooth user experience. #Thunderbird and #Evolution work but the user interface is very dated.
Ditto #Calendar. #GNOME and #Morgen are the only options…and the latter is not #FOSS.
Frustrating.

@postmodern I have not found a desktop email client that I like yet. My “reference” is Spark for macOS / iPadOS with a 3 column widescreen layout, multi-line message headers, & the ability to “pin” important messages.
The closest I’ve found is #Mailspring, an #Electron app that despite some great features still doesn’t integrate well with my DE, and plug-in development seems to be stalled. That leaves #Evolution, which is overkill for me and fiddly, but it gets the job done
