Browser : #BrowserSeparation - use a few trustworthy browsers, each for a different activity type.
Mail client : #DeltaChat easiest encrypted mail setup in the world, or Thunderbird.
Calendar client : OS default.
Mail Service : #Chatmail for encrypted-only mail contacts, #Thundermail / #TBpro, #PurelyMail,
Social : Mastodon & Fediverse in general, #Nostr.
Office package : LibreOffice.
Video conference : #JitsiMeet, #NextcloudTalk, or #SignalApp for close contacts. -

Fastmail want $11 per month if I want accounts for my kids too (the 6 accounts plan).
#Purelymail charges around 0.33$ per month (or 0.83$ for the simple pricing) and has no restrictions on the number of users.
I want more providers that only delivers the core functionality at a low price.
Maybe they can launch PurelyVPS too? Without becoming BloatedMailAndVPSAtAMuchHigherPrice? -

So, PurelyMail e-mail support finally replied. They said "sorry" 3 times in a single short message and also said that they would better document the feature I mentioned and that was the culprit of all the trouble I had.

So here I am, back with FastMail after a horrible experience with PurelyMail.
I noticed that I wasn't receiving all the e-mail. Not even from Firefox Relays and other sites like a bank.
I tried to reach the support team but was ghosted so far. I don't know how I'll get a refund if they don't reply.
Anyone got any tips? Disabling DMARC feature for incoming emails would solve this?
🟢 Update: poking around, I found a setting called "DMARC Enforcement on Incoming Mail". Disabling it solves the problem for me.
I guess that this + catch-all enabled made the incoming e-mails be discarded due to DMARC/SPF/DKIM misalignment after forwarding internally (to catch all e-mail).

@Firesphere I use #purelymail and I love it. It charges based on email storage and email transfere data usage, not number of users or domains. At least in USD, it is dirt cheap too.
Purelymail can also act as a public relay for your existing server, so you don't have to deal with 'bad ip' issues.

Occasionally I can’t log into my #Migadu email account. I get an error, both via IMAP and on their webmail.
This is usually resolved within a couple hours, but it’s frustrating to not have a status page so I can’t know if this is a me issue or a system issue.
Does anyone else using Migadu have the same issue? This is frustrating enough that I’m thinking of moving my email, but it’d be a big hassle so I’d rather not.
@j7s have you experienced any instability like this with #PurelyMail?

I just logged in to #purelymail for what seems like the first time in two years! Mind you, purelymail.com is my primary email provider.
The service is pre-paid (so you pay for credits that get used over time). I was always expecting the credit to run out sometime, as I only paid 10$ initially, but I figured that they'd notify me.
Indeed, I was using only ~$0.35 every MONTH! There were still credits left after YEARS, even though I only paid $10 initially. And it worked all that time.

@ldexterldesign I had similar thoughts recently, planning to move away from #Gandi. A couple of options I'm considering:
Domains: #BookMyName https://www.bookmyname.com/
E-mail: #PurelyMail https://purelymail.com/
Both seem to have similar values as I do and are reasonably cheap. My only concern for both is lack of payments in crypto which is kind of important for me.

After a couple of years self hosting my email server with #Mailu I'm trying #Purelymail for my email accounts. It allows me to use my domain name, is extra cheap, and promises me not to have to worry about deliverability (people occasionally find the emails I send them to their junk folder).
It should be much cheaper, and more efficient, than running a dedicated VPS for the only purpose of hosting a couple of Docker containers.
