Use #thunderbird on #linux. Click right on blue email address in left hand column & menu opens. Go to settings - synchronization & storage - selected keep messages in all folders for this account on this computer & in Advanced checked all folders under that email are ticked (except trash and Bulk). Then in menu Help (three-bar icon) - Troubleshooting information - Application Basics table - row Profile Directory - Clicked Open Directory & find all emails. 13GB of which sent is 6GB ! #yahoomail

I just can't access yahoo mail. I'm logged in. 2-factor, no less. Tried turning off uBlock Origin. No change. Tried another computer. No change. Now I need another browser.
I have a key to access it programmatically. I wonder if it will let me. I'll have to write some code, or I will get all of the email at once. It doesn't page yet.
There are contractors using my yahoo account to contact me. I have 3 jobs I'll be contacted about for the HOA. All of the contractors use that email address. This totally sucks, yahoo.

I just got an email announcing that they are increasing the storage space to 20GB in #YahooMail.
The only reason I mention this is because in the email there was a link that allows you to check your current storage usage but, when I got to the linked page, I also discovered there was a way to switch back to the "standard" YahooMail format.
Didn't want to make the change to the new format but but it appeared that Yahoo wasn't providing any way to opt out at that time.
So, if you got this email &, like me, don't like the new YahooMail format, click on the link & look for the option to switch back to the standard format.

Did you know you can "Check all of your email accounts", via Yahoo! Mail?
I totally forgot about it. Messin' around w/ broken desktop clients, etc. This seems be a preferred solution. E.g. I never check this crazy old email account! But, lookee here! I'm on a new linux system, and I don't have to go about setting up an email client... yet.
Why didn't I continue to use it? Because I recally-- specifically, because methinking it was awesome to use-- Yahoo! reported that this feature would no longer be available.
However (brain damage) thinking about it, it might have been specific to GMX, or ... some kind of [other server issue]
Truth be told, I suppose you can do that with gmail as well. And I know "outlook" (MS Mail, desktop whatever) let's you add all of your accounts. But that's not really the same. As, I'm on a new linux box, and i didn't have to set up an email client. yet.

Ich habe u.a. noch eine Uralte Yahoo-Mailadresse. Jetzt schreiben die mir, sie hätten neue AGBs.
Unter anderem heißt es da:Im Abschnitt „Verhalten von Mitgliedern“ wird der Einsatz von Ad-Blocker-Technologie eingeschränkt.
Das klingt für mich immer nach Nötigung: Du guckst jetzt endlich unsere beschissene Werbung, sonst setzt es was.
Nö Leute, dann erst Recht. Wenn ihr mir das Mailkonto deswegen kündigt: andere Anbieter haben auch hübsche E-Mail-Konten.

#protonvon used to block adverts in yahoo mail app. Yahoo mail app was recently updated. Now for at least one #vpn server location the ads in #yahoomail app (in Android 14) are not blocked. Anyone else get this ?

Firefox and Yahoo Mail won't play together anymore. 🙁 I used to be able to click a mailto link on a webpage in Firefox, and it would open my #YahooMail with that email address. But I can't get that to work on my new laptop. Now, the only webmail option it gives me is Gmail (otherwise it will only accept a mail program on my computer). Looks like right-clicking to copy the email address, and then opening Y!M and pasting the address in, is the best solution I can find. I can't find any setting in Firefox or Yahoo to make it automatic. Googling the usual "how do you...?" tells me menu options that don't appear exist (I'm assuming they exist did at one time). Did Firefox make a deal with Google to exclude other webmail options?! Or is it a bug? Does anyone know how to fix this? #TechQuestion #Yahoo #Mail #Firefox

(Daten solcher Websiten werden eher mal an Spammer geleakt, dann ist da nicht gleich meine wichtige Mailadresse "verbrannt".) Allerdings wird der Anbieter web.de davon immer unzuverlässiger und hat keinen vernünftigen Support, sofern man nicht für Premium zahlt.
(Einer der zuverlässigsten und beständigsten Anbieter ist natürlich Google, aber ich lasse schon sehr viel anderes über Google laufen, daher möchte ich ungerne komplett zu dieser Datenkrake umziehen.)
