@MegaMichelle Well, good luck to you! #Tutanota closed my free account, which I opened to test its service, after 2 days without any warning or information. I stick with Posteo which I use for more than 10 years.

About 2 weeks ago I noticed my #Tuta #account was deleted after too long time without login. Well, I always thought it was more feature than bug - my main threat model is like "I want my data autodelete or at least become irreversibly encrypted/locked after my death". Luckily other accounts registered with that #email, like DeviantArt, ArtStation, public Gitlab were earlier deleted by me. There are my pre-migration fedi account and some niche Polish site for amateur writers left. I wouldn't be surprised if that Polish site would let just change email without verification...
I think the bigger problem here is my mental state, when I just couldn't notice time passing. It's last few years when I feel I lose control about this. Few months mysteriously disappeared... Damn, I still couldn't feel more than half of this year passed.
I will probably create new account. It is allowed when old account doesn't exist, right?
Now I wonder how to have similar effect on Proton or Disroot. And how to finally configure dead man's switch on my laptop to automatically turn it down after longer inactivity, to have really active LUKS encryption (and I use 30-33 character passwords for this so...)

Why is this the only way to write proper plaintext email in proton free tier on desktop?
Step 1: Electronmail (needed because 3 accounts)
Step 2: Set composing to plaintext
Step 3: Use custom CSS to set .editor-textarea max-width to 80
Step 4: Use a border-right on it
Step 5: ComposeIf someone here knows of better methods please do tell.
Hydroxide doesn't work. protonmail-python-api or whatever the library name is doesn't work. None of the forks work. It's honestly so annoying that I have to spawn a full electron window or pay up (I'm broke as a joke) to be able to use plaintext email with an org that has some semblance of user privacy.
Tuta has third-party bridges, do they work properly??

@Tutanota hi team, thank you for making Tuta possible for all the free users too. It makes privacy accessible for everyone.
On the other hand, the android app really feels archaic and unpolished. Animations doesn't work well. Lot of bugs. Emails doesn't load properly as and when I receive them.
This happens over web also. It would be really great if you guys can work towards this aspect too.

Tuta is no longer friends with LibreWolf. To use it, you need browsers with tracking functionality.
It's unfortunate. It used to be a good service.

@jnazarene Tarkistin nyt vielä ja Tuta ei tarjoa keinoa käyttää omaa sähköpostia normaalien protokollien avulla (IMAP, POP3, SMTP), eikä ole lupauksen puolikastakaan niistä.
Mulle nojautuminen puhtaasti palveluntarjoajan omiin appeihin on aika no-go, vaikka sitä perusteltaisiin Tutan tapaan ”luotettavuuteen”. On se ongelman jo ratkaistu muuallakin.

The more time goes by, the more I encounter bugs in @Tutanota. The last one to date is an email marked as spam whereas I have an explicit rule stating that all emails sent to this specific address are not spam...
The other day, my draft emails ended up in both the draft and the sent folders.
A few weeks ago, I was in a train without reception, and my calendar appeared completely empty in offline mode (and it was obviously far from being empty)...
And the list can go on!
