Any tips on turning my #tutamail calendar reminders into something I'll actually notice on my #android phone?

#TutaMail and #ProtonMail are by far the world's two best #email providers/services for #Anonymity, #Privacy and #Security (#APS).

I have recently (12th August 2026) carried out a thorough #research into this as I am planning to migrate to whichever is the best email provider/service for APS and move away from and ditch #USA #BigTech.

Between the two, the one that comes on top depends on what you value most on aggregate. In individual edge terms, here is how they compare:

Tuta Mail: cheaper; more custom domains; more email addresses; more established/robust Post- #Quantum (PQ) Security today; most integrated encrypted ecosystem; better custom-domain #migration; purest cryptographic #architecture; slightly stronger #FOSS #philosophy.

ProtonMail: better PQ #cryptography evolution and #interoperability; much better for open standards; much better #Thunderbird #compatibility; better (long-term) export / #portability; much easier/better to change client and/or provider later; (far) richer #feature set.

I use and really appreciate CryptPad, TutaMail, and TutaCalendar.
I use Notesnook but just discovered HelixNotes, which I now prefer.
I love Planify as a to-do app and don’t use any AI to preserve (if that’s even still possible?) the health of our planet Earth—and for ethical reasons.

Ich weiss nicht, was die bei #TutaMail machen, aber irgendwie kommt mir es so vor, als würden die es mit jemanden neuen Update das ganze noch verschlimmern. Ich warte über 30 sec. darauf das meine Mails geladen werden. Das macht mich echt ein wenig .....

I like using #tutamail but do not like Gmail just deleting my emails I send to family. Not even spam. Gmail is actively trying to sabotage it. Fuck google.

Det finns mängder med europeiska alternativ som i flera fall är fri och öppen programvara men i andra fall är proprietär program (ägd och sluten) vara eller tjänster.

Toying with the idea of switching back to Proton Mail. I'm paying for both Proton and Tuta. The UI and visual design in Proton is nicer. Tuta as a company is 100% more sympathetic... Skyla or Karybdis?
