#HappyFriday and happy #FrogFriday -The red-legged frog (Rana aurora aurora) lives along the Pacific coast of North America from southern British Columbia to Baja California del Norte. In British Columbia, it is found throughout Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and the Lower Mainland, west of the Coast Mountains.
I photographed this red-legged frog in #Sayward on Vancouver Island years ago. I never overstay when I photograph them because I don't want to stress them.

Yesterday. Loading up the #RentalCar from National ( https://www.nationalcar.ca/en/home.html ). To get us back from #Sayward to Victoria.
National is the #CarRental company that I've used for over a decade for work trips. I recommended them to my friend because they have better customer service than competitors. They also have more availability & locations for pick-up/drop-off.

Bit of a creepy coincidence. I used to do lots of sports photography/media. I had interviewed Dillon Brown before his first fight night for former AFC in Victoria. The resort's surveillance cameras were key in solving his murder in 2016. I had no idea it was this resort until we'd settled in. My friend booked it & I didn't know name of place til morning after we'd checked in.

My friends are en route to rental car place in Campbell River. We've been stuck at Sayward Valley Resort since our car accident on Saturday. I get to head home today! Looking forward to seeing my cat/family this evening 🥰✌❤
The staff here are fantastic. Cabins comfy & fully equipped w/kitchens. Walls are thin - for those who need lots of quiet, best to come in low season.

It took 6 hrs but car got towed to Port McNeill & we have all our stuff with us at a cabin in #Sayward now. Front right tire blew out & needs to be replaced. Auto shop isn't open til tomorrow morning.
Got the biz card from husband of the couple who stopped & rescued us after we crashed into snowbank. I want to send thank you card & gift after getting home in 1-2 days.

We spun out on highway, between Port McNeill & Sayward. Crashed into snowbank. We're ok. Got rescued very quickly by kind couple. In #Sayward now - in restaurant & called tow truck.
